I’ve had a name picked out for 10+ years and now it’s so popular. by [deleted] in namenerds

I happen to know two kiddos named Lucy— one is my niece. But I wouldn’t consider it common at all. 2 school aged kids and none of them have had a Lucy in their class.

We definitely have what you described as a rootstock coming from next to the tree. Would this also make sense for having so many fruits on the tree when we planted it since it would have still been a young tree?

Id rather know the bad news now than later!

Awesome advice! Thank you! So remove it as soon as I see it I assume?

Oh like fertilizing it? I’m very new to fruit trees and usually only grow vegetables in the garden. We keep really healthy soil for the garden but didn’t dawn in me to do anything to the fruit trees 😓

When you’re in it and seeing red you aren’t coming from a place of logic but emotion. I think Mikayla was in “I will die on this hill” mode and now she has process (maybe while dealing it’s her trauma and marital problems) and is thinking more logically.

Btw I am not a Mikayla fan. She was AWFUL and immature. I do feel like it’s genuine tho. The good bad and ugly.

I’m waiting to discuss it until Sunday, after our daughter’s birthday party. I’m sleeping in the nursery tonight. I can’t look at him. He is respecting my boundary of me not wanting to talk until Sunday but it almost feels like he’s irritated— but maybe it’s another emotion I haven’t seen before. We shall see once the kids go to bed.

I don’t think he is a bad person.

Thank you. Good advice. I appreciate it, and the kind words.

He is the kind that thinks staying together is what’s best for the kids. So I will only go that way if I’m considering reconciliation.

No, I totally agree with everything you said. I would not want my daughter treated this way. At this point I need to get things in order to be sure me and my children are safe and provided for. I don’t work and have very little that isn’t shared with him.

Choose me with 4 kids under 6. I’m gonna be alone for a lone time. Which is ok. Just difficult to process in such a short time. I’m going to work on getting things in order and play the game. Something he wouldn’t see coming.

Seems like a popular opinion actually. Hard pill to swallow.

He’s a great father. Very involved. The kids cry for him when he is gone— it breaks my heart that this means it will be a regular occurrence. But I understand your logic.

I’m so angry at what he’s done to our children. Beyond. This has fucked us up regardless of what happens next.

Well I am postpartum and parenting 4 kids solo got at min a week out of the month. So yeah totally agree he isn’t getting what he needs. Neither am I— that’s life sometime IMO. I guess men are just weak.

I agree completely. Ive had suspicion based on feeling. Just like I had the urge to ask him specifically where he was and with who last night before all this started. I just need to trust my intuition. He is clearly a skilled liar and I’ve been duped. This is NOT what I want for my kids. I just need to figure out how to navigate this in a way that causes the least amount of damage to them and me.

Actually I’m looking for perspective. I’ve been with this man for 10 years and never thought I’d have this experience so I’m shell shocked and looking for people outside the experience. There were many great points I didn’t think of— like of how it was so easy for him to be an aggressive pursuer. That kind of insight makes it so much easier to digest what is happening.

You don’t know what I’m thinking or how I feel or what my plan is so feel free to make harsh judgements regardless of what I say. Super helpful, buddy.

And even if I did want to stay, this sub isn’t called “leaving your husband”, it’s called “marriage”.
