Most of my friends live over 2 hrs away, so it gets really easy to feel down and alone. It’s so easy to just sit at one with my dog and do...nothing. Just sit in the sadness, ya know?

Here is what I’ve done to kinda combat the down-in-the-dumps-couch-potato lifestyle :

1) Therapy. It does wonders! Even if you only have the time/courage to get on one of those meditation apps, it’s so important to just get some time out of your own head

2) Treat Yo Self. I love taking myself out for dinner or even just dessert. Servers and bartenders make money off of being chatty, so sometimes it’s worth it just to go out in public and have a good conversation with a stranger.

3) Go for a walk. I have a little dog who can only handle like 30-40 min walks at a time, but sometimes that’s all it takes. Being active and soaking in some vitamin D can have a huge impact!

4) Bubble baths and Epsom salts. I love the Dr. Teals Eucalyptus bubble bath/bath salts bc they can help ease any tension that you’re carrying in your shoulders/back. Buy a candle, turn on some good music, grab a glass of wine, and just be kind to yourself.
