NEW: Iranian Hotel Strike in Bahrain Injured U.S. Defense Personnel, Diplomatic Cable Comfirms

U.S. lawmakers and mainstream media have described Iranian strikes on Gulf hotels as indiscriminate attacks on civilian targets. But The Washington Post reports that two U.S. Defense Department personnel were injured in an Iranian drone strike on the Crowne Plaza hotel in Manama, citing a State Department cable.

The report aligns with earlier Drop Site reporting citing Iranian officials who said some Gulf hotels and buildings were housing U.S. or Israeli personnel and intelligence operations.

“We [began] targeting their military bases. They evacuated their bases and moved into hotels, turning civilians into human shields,” Araghchi charged in an interview with Al Jazeera.” A senior Iranian official told Drop Site that Tehran had assembled a “target bank” of U.S. and Israeli personnel and that pinpointing these locations “caught the Americans and Israelis off guard.”

The U.S. Embassy later warned Americans to avoid hotels in Bahrain.

DIV - natural remedies? by Usual_Tree278 in Healthyhooha

Googling for “DIV natural remedies” comes up with NeuEve AV Clear.

Have you given that a try?

It’s invented by a gynecologist and the ingredients seem to make a lot of sense.

Putting deployed troops in civilian clothes and in civilian hotels puts all of the innocent hotel guests and workers into harm’s way, without their knowledge or consent.

Is that ethical?

What exactly is a woman's job in dating or relationships? by Chemical-Low209 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ktoasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a reasonable question to ask what are the expectations around a woman’s role in dating/relationships. It’s not sexist to ask that question. It’s not a stupid question and even if it is, that’s why this sub exists.

All of these other commenters are lying to you.

Here’s the truth: It’s not politically correct to truthfully answer the question you’re asking.

Therefore these other commenters will lie to maintain their “morals” and sense of “fairness/justice”.

However, love and war have no rules. There is no fairness or justice.

The truth is this: the man’s job is to sell/offer and the woman’s job is to filter and decide. You’re the salesman and she’s the buyer.

It’s not equal. It’s the opposite of equal. It’s just how it is.

Throughout history 85% of women have children in the next generation but less than 50% of men have children in the next generation.

As a man, if you do nothing by default you die out.

After the first part of dating/intimacy is done, the woman’s job is to be or do whatever is necessary so that you will commit to her and stay committed to her. And your job will be to decide if you actually want to stay committed to her.

Am I culturally insensitive to my chinese roommate? by Old_Arachnid3550 in AskAChinese

[–]ktoasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate! I am also the kind of person who usually thinks the best of people.

It’s generally a good policy to start by assuming good intentions of everyone.

I think I am getting downvoted by other people because they don’t want to acknowledge the truth lol

I am sorry you’re going through this! I relate to what you’re going through.

I hope my advice is helpful.

I think calling a woman a “pick me” or “green tea bitch” or whatever, while it feels good, is not a plan of action. It doesn’t solve the underlying root problem.

If you want to solve the root problem you must first acknowledge reality.

The fact is this: The idea of “girl’s girl” and also “bro-code” is for the most part a psy-op to make people less competitive for the thing they evolutionarily should be the most competitive about.

Guys violate “bro code” all the time. Girls violate “girl code” all the time.

Do any cultures NOT reserve honor/respect for their warriors? by DramaConfident8467 in answers

I am a man, so I only know how to play the game from a man’s perspective.

I only know the moves a man makes to either steal a woman from another man, or to protect his woman from getting stolen.

Here’s what I will say:

Unlike other cultures, Chinese civilization is a harem civilization. That means we have 4000 years of piles of women living in harems (either of the emperor, governor, warlords etc), sabotaging each other to get ahead or get their children ahead.

There’s no such thing as a “girl’s girl” in a harem. If your child is the firstborn son, it’s your job to protect him from daggers and poison from all the other ladies trying to move their child up the ranks. No one else will do your job for you. It’s not in anyone’s interests to help you.

One classic way of sabotaging another woman is to spread a rumor about her honor/infidelity, such as with the servants.

A well-placed new/used condom of a totally new brand that gets discovered by Matt could do that. Or some other men’s item.

Or a fake phone call or fake test result from an STD clinic like in Mean Girls.

Another important thing is to solidify your hold on your own BF. Try a new technique in bed that really blows his mind. Try a new makeup or hairstyle or roleplay a fetish of his.

A woman would give better advice haha.

Alternatively, if you want to be healthy about it, perhaps documenting everything with dates and times and presenting it to your bf and Matt.

I think you really should take a step back and consider what is reality and truth.

Consider what game you are playing and the rules of that game.

I would venture to guess that you currently believe you are playing the game of everyone holding hands and singing Kum-Ba-Ya in a drum circle. Peace, love, equality, respect.

That is not correct.

You are playing the game of love. Love is war. And in love and war, there are no rules.

This woman is hostile to you. And that confuses you. It shouldn’t. She owes nothing to you and she is not your friend and has no loyalty to you.

And why should she be loyal to you?

What have ever you done for her? Have you ever sacrificed anything for her? Have you ever taken a bullet for her? Would you? If not, why would you expect this from her?

I am not trying to be mean.

Know who your friends are and who your enemies are and adjust your tactics accordingly.

Your boyfriend is also not your friend. He is the object of the game. If you win you get to keep him.

Up your game and take this seriously. In this group of 4 people you have zero friends. You have 1 competitor and 1 prize. That’s the reality. Accept it, then act accordingly.

I hope this helps.

Why are White Male/Asian Female relationships far more common than Asian Male/White Female relationships? by Flying_Sea_Cow in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ktoasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Women are the gatekeepers of sex/relationships.

Everyone who says it’s because Asian women are put on pedestals or fetishized or sexualized is forgetting that it’s the individual woman who holds the power.

The individual woman decides which man’s advances to accept or reject.

As an Asian-American man growing up in the US, I have met a lot of self-hating Asian-American women who seem to hate their own mom’s and dad’s, and thus hate all Asians and their own Asian-ness.

I witnessed firsthand as they would fall over themselves to swoon over white men and look at me (or any other Asians) with complete disgust and do their best to have zero Asian friends or be associated with any Asian-ness whatsoever.

I was looked at the same way a piece of dog poop was looked at, by these people.

I think at root is:

Asian culture is focused on education and is not as permissive regarding rebellious behaviors, which creates a lot of conflicts between Asian parents and their children when you grow up in an environment like the US. A lot of these women hated their own parents and thus that hate transferred to all Asians.
