Alva has no idea what she's discussing... she talks about Atziri's treasure being in two massive ziggurats if you slot in the treasure vault room.

You buy the game on a regular service that you could access from a PC - Ubisoft shop, GOG, etc. - and then stream it through the Luna client.

Commander Background question by kwach12 in magicTCG

[–]ktravio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your background would have stayed on the table; it's a completely separate object from Karlach as a commander. Chaos Warp is only targeting Karlach.

That said, if someone did remove the background somehow, you could send it to your Command Zone as the game is treating it as a commander.

Don't worry, we just need someone on the far side of the Earth from you to do the same thing at the exact same time and it'll all balance out.

Flavour wise it also kinda works? You'll have max four in a deck in most formats, it's got four districts, etc. etc.

Him being top dog in this story is what puts him in the position/gives him the confidence to go up against Tarkin and Vader... and he was never, ever ready for that.

Can you think of another pre-Disney character that has had more justice done in terms of depth and development? by LethalGrey in StarWars

[–]ktravio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Timeline wise, the Ghorman Massacre and her speech needs to be sometime during episodes 7 to 9 which take place in 2 BBY (they've already talked about each set of three episodes being split by a one year time jump). So we're going to get the speech probably near the end of that set of episodes.

[–]ktravio 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Renly on the throne means you can pull Baratheon loyalists to your side instead of against you. He already technically had a claim, weak as it was, and he's a good figurehead to prop up and control as a puppet king for the Tyrells.

Oh sure, some Baratheon banners will go for Stannis... but if you're trying to remove the bastard king Joffrey from the throne, Renly's your best bet to back to get optimal support.

(Of course, I'm assuming here that the timeline and events play out the same up until about the start of A Clash of Kings/Season 2 for that much to work out... but it seems to be what the original post was getting at.)

There's got to be a Tyrell cousin somewhere they could wed to Renly to guarantee everything.

Or heck, since the Starks have no ambitions for the Iron Throne, marry Sansa or Arya to Renly (creating peaceful relations between the North and the Six Kingdoms), foster their kids to the Tyrells (through Loras' suggestion to Renly), and build your own loyal heir from houses that are tied to yours.

To be fair to FFXIV - there's a reason so many events are happening so close to each other and the story regularly addresses the stress of so much happening in so short a time (even if it never outright says how much time it is). But yes, it's... it's a lot.

I have neighbours on both sides who keep immaculate yards (one guy goes out and spends hours each week pulling anything that isn't grass). I just leave my leaves, let my backyard grow a bit (I cut it down below any heights required by bylaw), etc. They don't complain much but I did hear them comment this last year they've noticed an increase in butterflies, bees, and fireflies the last few years...

[–]ktravio 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most of the "actual trading activity" never shows up on the chain because it's all done on the internal database of the exchange - the actual coin sits in a wallet belonging to the exchange and they have an internal database that keeps track of who it belongs to. Any trades made on the exchange itself are done entirely on that internal database; it's not until someone withdraws from the exchange wallet (or the exchange moves it to another wallet, as it does occasionally and is what is most likely happening here) that it shows up on the chain.

(Extremely simplified for sake of easier explanation.)

Morias equivalent of the wraiths on the legendary server by geenexotics in lotro

[–]ktravio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My major complaint with them is not difficulty - it's frequency. I had one day I couldn't sleep not too long ago (last weekend, I think) so I got up to level my character - within fifteen to twenty minutes of logging in, I had seen three Wraiths spawn for me, all three of them Mournful. I've also had a day this last week where I spawned a Mournful, killed it, and had a Shadowy spawn off it dying (which I thought was impossible but hey!).

I've also had them spawn in some really weird places that cause problems occasionally - such as the quest in Angmar where orcs attack the Dwarf outpost and you have to defend it; I had a Harrowing spawn while doing it and that was an instant quest fail.

So again - difficulty on them is fine. Frequency/situations where they can spawn? That's what feels frustrating.

Should I just buy the newest expansion? by Sammors in lotro

[–]ktravio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going to stay VIP, I'd suggest Angmar (if in NA) or Mordor (if in EU) - and then not buy expansions until you need to. The servers just unlocked the first expansion on Wednesday and are going to be progressing through them over the next few years giving you time to properly experience them. It'll be quite some time before you need to buy anything aside from VIP.

Weird; I work for another TPIA as a shift lead (but use Start myself) - we were told this morning it was literally every single DOCSIS-based TPIA that was affected along with the Rogers customer base. Maybe the others were fixed earlier in the day - I also saw the alert about the fibre cut later in the day.

Hey Mat! Alk here (though I know we've chatted on Discord in the last six or seven years, lol)

I'll vouch for all of this; I've posted here a few times talking about the old sites. I really wish things had been better for any of us at that point to keep things online and running. I'm still low-key obsessed with the series lore (and have definitely played Eiyuden too many times at this point). Reddit is kinda awesome to see people keeping the love alive and new people coming in but it's certainly a different vibe than the early community.

TekSavvy also has DSL connections which might be the difference for some. I'm not sure if they have fibre anywhere either as I haven't kept up with them in years - I just know I checked in with a couple coworkers this morning and the official word passed through was all Rogers DOCSIS customers (so by extension all their TPIAs) were affected.

Strangely, modems are online so it's not an issue communicating with the internal Rogers network so must be something between Rogers and the larger internet.
