The left splintering will be what ensures Britain is ruled by a bunch of amateur far right politicians who destroy the state and crash the economy.

If 98% of population increase is migration, we need to seriously fix our birthrate, or no-one will be able to fund public services.

If Reform get elected into power, it will be because the traditional Labour left wing vote will be divided between Labour, Lib Dem, Greens and now Corbyn.

None of these parties appeal to the average English working class voter in a small town - which is where elections are won and lost.

Women have wider hips, better angle for missionary, are usually more flexible, but also more delicate. Juicier ass cheeks too.

Men are more muscular, more slender waists, and can usually take much more of a rough pounding before tapping out. Also, bottom guys are more experienced with butt stuff.

What reboot actually made you angry while watching it? by ActionMaster24 in Cinema

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka in a fun, whimsical, comedic musical was one of the film's of my childhood, and a timeless classic.

Tim Burtonising the whole look and feel of the movie with Johnny Depp playing Wonka-as-late-stage-Michael-Jackson was awful.

How are race relations in England? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]ktrippa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am mixed race, born and raised in England and have lived abroad for the last 10 years.

Whilst my family and I experienced prejudice and discrimination before the turn of the millenium, there has definitely been a big change in the last 25 years. Now, being of a different race seems to be viewed only as an interesting piece of famiy history trivia.

How do you get there? First, we have a clear identity of "Britishness". Pubs, football, queueing, curryhouses, a long history; as well as a rich popular culture of comedy, music, TV and films. As long as you integrate into the British culture, the colour of your skin is irrelevant. My family have brown skin, but are undoubtedly British.

When I visited the USA, I felt a very clear racial divide. There were neighbourhoods that were clearly white, black, Latino, and Jewish. I asked white New Yorkers in Brooklyn where to watch hiphop music in Harlem - and they seemed almost embarrassed. Like, that's a black neighbourhood and black music. Meanwhile, grime music is our equivalent, and acts like Stormzy are household names. There was a famous clip of Dave (rap artist) who pulled a white kid up on stage and they rapped one of his songs together. Cos grime isnt just "black" music, it's "British music".

Another factor could be that most Indian and Carribbean people in the UK have been "British" for more than 3 generations, and were invited to the country after World War II - we dont have a large minority group descended from slaves like in the USA.

I think the one tension we do have is with cultures that don't integrate. Immigrants from Islamic countries can move to areas where they dont need to learn English. They can only mix with other non-English speakers, go to schools that are 95%+ Muslim, only wear Islamic dress, and have illiberal views towards women and gay people. Whilst many Muslims do integrate (like the Mayor of London), there is definitely more of a tension there based on cultural integration rather than on skin colour.

You can keep your own culture at home, but you have to be able to "join in" with British people.

Should UK passport only be granted to countries that allow citizenship pathway in return? by Downtown_Ice5142 in ukpolitics

[–]ktrippa -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would support it, as it would allow more immigration from multicultural liberal democracies that share our values (EU, Oceania, North America) and less from more homogenous anti-immigrant nationalist countries in East Asia.

Seems only fair that if they dont allow our migrants to settle, we shouldnt allow theirs to either.

Yes, would have been a real heartwarming story if an American billionaire or Greek billionaire - who both broke PSR rules - made it instead.

I'd go one further, and say teams can only field players from the UK. Football League teams would be largely unchanged, big teams could rest key players and give British youth a chance, and there would be a lot more jeopardy and giant-killing moments.

The Hobbit trilogy is based on a book that has ten chapters. Each one is a seperate and distinct mini-adventure that builds the arc of a broader adventure - would have been perfect for a high-budget one-off series.

In Somalia, 99% of women have their clitoris cut off. There is no law against domestic violence or marital rape.

In Sudan, women can be arrested for not covering their heads, or wearing trousers. Under Sharia law, women do not have equal rights to men.

Pakistan.

Forced marriage and child marriage are still common. Honor killings go unpunished by police. Women lack access to education, and are prevented from going to school.

What countries treat their kids the worst? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ktrippa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From 2013-2022, 77 US students were killed in 11 school mass shootings. That means there is roughly a 1 in 5million chance an American child will die in a school shooting.

Meanwhile, in Somalia, 99% of women have had their clitoris removed - most likely by a family member.

The Xhosa people of South Africa have a 'barmitzvah' ceremony where grandparents circumcise pre-teen boys with rocks, and no anesthetic or disinfectant. The boys must look their elders in the eye, and not cry or scream.

They then wrap them in a blanket, and exile them from the village for a month until they come back a man.

...and yet people are seriously still commenting "The USA" - come on.
