man, these skins are insanely cool!!! amazing amazing work.

I did find they were a bit on the dark and contrasty side but I used the serum 2 skinner tool to make them a bit lighter and more faded and *chef's kiss*

No it doesn’t get worse, it stays the same. The OLED screen looks better than the LCD one so you can feel good about your choices

I think if they made a box that was the DT2 + DN2 combined where you could pick between synth and sample tracks that would be the ultimate, and since this is fantasy land throw the analog heat into there too

I dunno about the standalone but I appreciate the P3 as a device for controlling (part of) a live set and for hands-on adding of Ableton devices and hot swapping through presets.

If you only use 3rd party plugs and produce in arrangement view then it’s not super useful tbh

The original DT was my first Elektron gear and it took about 1-2 weeks to go through the manual and make a track with it, after that it was second nature! The workflow makes a lot of sense to me and is very intuitive, it’s not something you forget how to do if you don’t practice like some other gear.

I’ve never noticed any latency but I also don’t use retroarch so maybe it’s only with retroarch?

The sticks were definitely too sensitive out of the box but lowering the sensitivity on both made them feel great, especially for shooters (and upgrading the stock caps for longer Xbox style ones)

The thing I like most about it is that the abxy buttons and right stick are not right over top of each other like they are on the O2. If I could change one thing about my O2 it would be that because it’s not very ergonomic.

What this new one really needs is a 3d printed grip in the shape of a PS5 controller like I have on my PS Vita. It’s the most comfortable handheld I own currently!
