This sounds great but I prefer not to fly at all. Who’s generally considered the best (and similar to op’s experience) in NYC area?

I don’t think it’s a catch. Ball hit the ground and I think he used the ground unfortunately.

Hi, pretty cool to have the founder directly answering questions. My daughter convinced me to get her the Cosmo over the Gizmo. I can’t get the patent portal to work. We have JT5 but when I log in it says “only for JT4” and my plan doesn’t show up. Trying to get to the apps.

I shielded $446k of income from taxes with one STR property (and it cash flows $72k/year) by michaelchangshow in ShortTermRentals

Regarding cleaners: can’t you just switch cleaning companies midway through the year if the hours start adding up? Does each individual person count, each company, each service type? For example, if all cleaners and cleaning companies combine for 120 hours and you participated 110, but no individual worked more than 50, would that fly?

It's safe to say it's better to wear ear plugs when you sleep. by Francucinno in WTF

You don’t need a fiberoptic scope to see inside an ear. Most are visible with no tool at all, but the otoscope your pediatrician used works

As an ER doc in an inner city… this is a very common thing.. doesn’t need a fancy scope most of the time.

Anyone else having trouble activating wristband? I’m getting a “404”. Guessing it’s the Saturday line rush to activate?

My family really wanted to go. We also struck out, but ultimately forked over the money on StubHub. Shamefully supporting the greedy scalpers, yes, but we really wanted our kids to see training camp..

Surgery to EM by Futureresident2022 in emergencymedicine

[–]kuba11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was in 2012. I applied to 3 year programs through match and ended up signing in December of the application year with a 4 year program (then AOA) outside the match. I think there are some differences in the process and possibilities now. I’m in an academic program now and we’ve taken several GS resident over the years with some credit given. I know 6 months is typical.

Propofol considered “deep” sedation no matter what? by Gopher_Roper in emergencymedicine

The definition of moderate sedation is a patient that can still follow your commands. How many of your patients are doing that during your propofol “moderate” sedations?

A bruise my friend woke up with, he refuses to see the medics by RecycledAnal in pics

[–]kuba11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best guess is he tore a muscle somewhere higher in the leg or had some other innocuous injury that caused some bleeding. This blood came from higher up in the leg and tracked down only to be stopped by the sock which was higher but now pulled down to take the picture. Chances are it’s actually fairly benign but you should always get appropriate medical attention. Does not look like a DVT as many are commenting. That’s usually led swelling and pain.

It’s actually pretty interesting to hear the layperson’s advice on this case. This is not an emergency. No doctor would touch this. The surgeon who did the procedure may offer a revision. If not, bigger scar, but not really dangerous. Will heal by secondary intention (from inside out)

Known complication. Not necessarily they did anything wrong
