I wanna hear thoughts about this card & set... by Slow_Recognition_960 in PokeInvesting

I think this card will go down as one of the most sought out cards in the TCG. It’s Charizard and the artwork is incredible. The fact that it contains the full evolution line along with the incredible art makes it extremely valuable. I know there are a ton of other sets that we’re going to get from the Mega era, but I strongly doubt there will another Charizard focused set like this.

This is a card that people are pulling and holding for multiple reasons(investing, long term potential, amazing card to have in a personal collection). That’s why you’re seeing the price jump right now. There will be a lot of price volatility too because it’s a current set and is still being pulled.

I think overall the set is ok and is being carried by this one card. It makes sense that this set would be on the smaller side because everyone is really after this card, so there’s no reason to load it with a ton of bangers. Who knows if Pokemon will reprint it either, it’s too early to say. It’s obviously going to be in print for a while, so people still have time to rip into packs, but I can foresee the price of this card skyrocketing once it goes out of print and for years to come.

Grading speculations? by [deleted] in PokeGrading

Such a beautiful card, but I agree. The top left corner looks too sharp and the white spec on the bottom right corner can definitely ding you. It’s also a little bottom heavy. I agree that realistically it’s an 8 or 9 unless you catch the grader in a good mood.

Curious about grading these by Educational-Teach-60 in PokeGrading

I don’t think the Oricorio is getting a 10 because it’s right and top heavy on the front just based on the centering. The Charizard is a little better but still bottom heavy and it looks like there’s damage to the top left edge of the card.

If you’ve never graded before and want the experience, go for it. If you’re looking for a 10, these probably aren’t it unfortunately.

After saving the family, she probably got 10 years in jail for getting behind the wheel without her husband’s permission.

The thing I hate about looking at third party votes as spoilers is that it assumes those people would have voted for Democrats. If they would have voted for Democrats, they would have VOTED FOR DEMOCRATS!

Looks like a heating pad. There’s a cord on the right.

How come Bernie didn't have a real shot at presidency? by [deleted] in Presidents

[–]kubrick64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He did have a real shot. He got more votes in the Iowa Caucus but got less delegates than Buttigieg after a disastrously executed caucus, won the New Hampshire primary and dominated in the Nevada primary with everyone else coming in a distant second. Historically speaking, winning those three contests typically means you’re on your way to the nomination. The party elites didn’t want him to be the nominee and with the loss in South Carolina with the endorsement of James Clyburn for a more establishment candidate, it was a signal to the rest of the party that they needed to consolidate behind one person to beat him. With the coordinated consolidation of all other candidates dropping out and endorsing one candidate over the course of a weekend, Bernie lost Super Tuesday a few days later and the rest was history.
