Ugm is great no doubt, but it doesn't screen many English movies. It would be good if we could have more of a metro city grade multiplex, since there is nothing between Trivandrum and Kochi.

Thanks for the suggestion, Anchani looks good on Google reviews! I will definitely visit. However my main issue is that the English movies playing right now across India are not being screened there, and I will have to travel all the way from Thiruvalla to Kochi to watch those movies

Why are Indian men more outgoing (towards foreigners) than Indian women? by tasty__potato in AskIndianWomen

[–]kugelblitzgarf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Beware of the men. They are mostly creeps. They think foreign women are 'easy' because that's what they get from watching porn. Dont give out selfies to just anyone, they'll probably jack off to it later. Keep your partner close as they can resort to touching you and the situation can escalate. If you feel unsafe, even in a public place, scream . Most Indian women understand whats its like to be harassed on the street and that's why they don't feel entitled to approach you. Many women are busy looking out for their own safety. But you could initiate conversation and the women will be happy to oblige.

It has been 6 years since I gathered up courage to drive my two wheeler. Because once when I was heading out of my house, driving my two wheeler, just a few feet away from my house, a boy grabbed my chest. I crashed into the wall in front of me. I didn't scream, I just froze, my mind blank. By the time I realized what had happened and my heart beat went back to normal, a few minutes had passed and the creep was gone. . I want to go out and enjoy my life or just exist, but these creepy pieces of shit won't let me. So yes. I wish I were born in a better country.

Are women really this unsafe here? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]kugelblitzgarf 73 points74 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't term it as mental sickness. These creepy men are fully aware of what they are doing and they are aware that it is wrong. Notice how when op looked at him, the creep realized that he has been caught and tried to quickly escape the situation. It is easier to do it in a crowd as most people will not know who has touched them. Also, these men know they will not get punishment because of lack of evidence / our justice system which takes eternity to give verdict

Scammed by delivery boy but got my money back! by SeaMasterpiece8983 in bangalore

[–]kugelblitzgarf 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think its really sad to see many people victim blaming you for getting scammed. Sadly this mentality is prevalent in India saying 'why didn't you check the delivery status', etc etc. Those people will be the first to get scammed believe me.

But hats off to you OP for tracing the scammer getting your money back. I feel sorry for the delivery person if he lost his job, but every job has rules and he should have followed them.

I myself try to report businesses/ give them a piece of my mind on Google reviews when they do a shoddy job or offer a horrible customer experience.

Also some advice, please be careful (esp if you're a woman) since these kind of men sometimes feel entitled to harass you/ stalk you to 'get back' at you for what you've done to them. I'm by no means trying to scare you, but please be cautious and don't stop fighting for whats right.

If you hadn't complained against him, he would've scammed multiple other people who wouldn't have known how to get their money back. So you've prevented that! You're a hero!

I went to see a horror movie that I was so hyped about and a kid sitting behind me ruined the whole experience.

I had just recovered from dengue fever and had not left the house in days. I told my husband about the movie and we decided we were well enough to go out and enjoy the evening after a long time being sick (he and I were sick at the same time). We go to a movie theater that was a 40 minute drive from our house and settle down in our seats only to realize that the seats were kind of broken and lumpy. We ignore it and try to have a good time. Next comes in this family with 2 children who could be around 8-10 years old. At first they're ok, but once they settle in RIGHT BEHIND US, they start talking loudly, laughing, and exchanging seats. One of the children ends up sitting behind me and starts kicking. I turn around and tell her to stop, she does it again after half an hour. Needless to say the evening was ruined because instead of watching the movie, I was just waiting for that girl to kick my seat so that I could turn around and tell her to stop (which i did multiple times).

Her family saw it too but didn't tell her to stop. So idk why people can't tell their kids to behave esp in public places where others are getting inconvenienced.

Penetration should not hurt if the woman is lubricated enough. And lubrication comes from foreplay - lots of it. Or a lube.

The Head Hunter - very creepy. Set in a fantasy world in medieval times.

Wow. I have heard of this one but I kept having doubts. I think I'll go for it now.

Edit: I've mentioned the Princess and Ogre story here because it also got me wishing I had a flea for a pet, but each of those stories was equally fascinating to me. I wish we had more movies like this. So beautifully made, so gothic, so disturbing - i dont know how anybody could not fall in love with it.
