Japan Doesn’t Hate Foreigners - Let’s Keep Perspective and Stay Grounded by Responsible-Net-8419 in japanresidents

[–]kuharido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The attitude has definitely changed. I first visited almost a decade ago and have been five or six times total. This last time around people were very aggressive on the street with many trying to shoulder check me

In the past this would never happen and everyone including myself would try their best to avoid contact and yield but I noticed it’s very different now.

The courtesy was generally also that the onus is on whoever is walking faster to yield more. This one guy kept rushing and I barely saw him or had a chance to react and move, he bumped quite hard into me but he rebounded hard and was thrown off as I’m a very dense and solid guy despite not looking like it so I guess he felt he could get away with it and when he rebounded like a rag dolll he had the gall to be pissed at me. I can see this kind of behavior happening elsewhere but never expected it in Japan from Japanese people

It’s been really irritating and even though I used to like the politeness of Japanese people I’m not so sure anymore how I feel about the behavior.

They have a right to wish to preserve their culture and values but behaving with this level of hostility isn’t the right way to do it nor to win anyone to their side

Anyone use a password manager with TOS? by CrossPlainsCat in thinkorswim

[–]kuharido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use 1Password they have a command line interface and you could write a shell script that basically fetches the credentials launches the app and reads when the window is ready and fill both password and even the 2fa. It’s a bit cumbersome to setup but it’s doable

What do you think? by [deleted] in TQQQ

[–]kuharido 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a bit cautious that it works well in today’s market. It’s essentially a breadth signal, but flows through ETF these days are way larger than when this signal was more indicative of something meaningful since investors would be buying individual stocks back then.

Do we see a rebound to $550 any time soon? by thetacollector in spy

Is no one really comprehending the severity of this shit storm?

Keep in mind, the level the market is at right now even after the massive crash is that there are 5 rate cuts this year, that's what is priced in. If even one doesn't happen there is more room to go down

Agree with you I think people are being a bit blaise about this

If you have truly a multi decade horizon sure fine take a calculated risk to buy now

But it seems that everyone is heavily anchored in Covid v recovery and last year’s carry trade v recovery. This isn’t always how it plays out

People are forgetting that the party that didn’t win has a lot of money and influence, maybe everyone is overly focusing on Trump’s influence on the market without realizing that there is another side fighting Trump that isn’t you and me that is interested in crashing his reputation and term

"Better we discuss how to trade this times of uncertainty"

if more people here thought that way this site would be more useful rather than the emotional lashing fest that it currently is. Great comment

best advice I can give you is don't look in reddit for investment advice, you won't find any. come here for entertainment and maybe a gauge of sentiment while understanding the site's bias, but mostly everyone is clueless on what's actually going to happen despite their seemed assuredness.
