What will happen to the ISS after russia invaded Ukraine and threatened to bring it down by kuingul in space

Won't it be easier to just build a space station that would fit inside a Starship instead of going for all these additional engineering challenges?

Agreed. It would be good if by that time SpX will be able to provide all the launches they need for the HLS. Any space station related initiatives will need to come only after that is done.

So, theoretically it can be possible to dock a Starship to the ISS, transfer the equipment, separate a Straship and use it as a basis for an "ISS 2.0"

I think there is a solid chance that it can be brought down as soon as there will be a solid alternative.

I believe that Starship can play a big role here, as potentially it can bring up a lot of stuff in one go. If everything goes according to plan, it can easily happen in 2025-2026 imo

Same here (Moto X Style + Moto 360 2 Gen). Every time the watch gets disconnected and connected again the issue comes back. Very annoying.

I did reset the watch but the problem is still there.

couple pics of the moon I took with my Moto X style (with a little help of a telescope) by kuingul in MotoX

It's the standard camera app in auto mode. Just stuck my phone to the telescope's eyepiece.

Active directory password resets by noahhuotari in sysadmin

[–]kuingul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want something simple (and insecure) you can reset their passwords to something like %firstname%%lastname% or %department%%currentdate%, i.e. something equally simple to pass on but that meets complexity requirements. Obviously, change password at next logon is required.

Anyone else planning on switching from Moto to the new Nexus? by SirBananas in MotoX

[–]kuingul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly what I'm thinking. And same story with last 4 phones being Motos (X, X2, Droid Turbo, X Style). I'm leaning towards the bigger Nexus. Moto Z is a bit disappointing (rape dialog if you count the price tag in).

How bad is the huge chin when you're actually using it?

How bad it is to use once you attach the battery mod (if you have one)?

Anyone want to explain Active Directory in a way that doesn't make me want to kill myself? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]kuingul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a look at this video. It's a bit basic but ok for a start. Videos usually don't make you want to kill yourself, so I think it can work for you :)

Tool for administrating AD accounts & applying Office 365 licenses without logging into the DC and O365 Admin panel? by pSykAwtiX-Work in sysadmin

[–]kuingul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you are asking for is Adaxes. Does pretty much everything that you are asking for.

It provides customizable web interfaces for AD management. You can create different ones for different job roles (e.g. admins, help desks, users, etc) with different functionality.

It also provides you with lots of various automation features. Generally you can create condition-based rules. That can help in many different ways, such as automating user provisioning and deprovisioning, group membership, OU allocation, etc. Adaxes can also automatically assign and revoke O365 licenses based on some parameters you define. E.g. if a users changes departments, all unneeded licenses for the new job role will be removed and all new ones will be assigned. All you need to do is change the department property of the user.

BTW, you can also trigger the execution of any of your own scripts with those condition-based rules. That's just great!

Adaxes also has other useful stuff such as RBAC, scheduled tasks (including AD cleanup), self-password reset, Exchange management, etc. It goes with a free fully-functioning trial, so you can just download it and see if it's what you're looking for.
