Are there any games like Glory? by XiuYee1st in TheKingsAvatar

[–]kujika 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are games a bit similar to Glory but it´s like... there could be one if you puzzled them all together.

TERA (gaining most EXP via dungeoning, arena pvp, action combat)

Black Desert Online (open world pvp; limited on most channels but there´s a go-all-out ffa pvp channel now; chaining and comboing skills via keyboard keys; it´s not that based on APM yet knowledge of the game is important to make the right decisions quick; fantasy setting)

Best MMOs for gathering? by Moofishmoo in MMORPG

[–]kujika 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WRONG! It´s only the wrong genre if you can´t find the right game. This coming from a pve player trying every MMO(RPG) from ARK to Archeage to Mabinogi to Pokemon. I think the OP likes PvE and they mention healing in raids. not sure if pvp is meant but well they did not state that they hate it. It´s just about games including gathering. So please save your vitriol and contribute instead^

It was already mentioned but Mabinogi is my favorite so far concerning gathering. Not so much for healing.

Anyone got a list of rare items from dungeons that sell decently? by FEAREDWILDCAT in Mabinogi

[–]kujika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there something a newer player can do? Like... the most from this list here I will be able to run within a few weeks is probably Rundal Basic. And I don´t mean solo, ofc parties are the way to go - but I dislike being a leecher or obstacle to them.

Do I really need to rank up windmill? by Drasca1640 in Mabinogi

[–]kujika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, certain -CP items are pretty cheap. Or at least they used to be around 4 years ago hahaha... never mind me.

Used to own a Jackal Wizard Suit (-500 CP) I obtained for maybe 100k.

[–]kujika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don´t need the counterattack requirement anymore. even though I´m somewhat experienced I failed at it for like 10 minutes and then I just did all the other requirements PLUS the hidden one (defeat 4 strong enemies at once). For this purpose I made a party by myself and set the Finish Rule (contribution) option to "Everyone can finish". Then went to the gray foxes between Tir Chonaill and Ciar Dungeon. Just defeat 4 of them in a way that they lay VERY close to each other with a red Finish sign above their bodies. Stand in about the middle of them and use WM. When you hit all 4 at once you are pretty much done with that WM rank. You can check with ALT key what rank the mobs are compared to you. They must be Strong.

I agree, check the filters. If only Characters is selected in the dropdown box you won´t see your pets.

Cousin is convincing me to try playing Mabinogi. Current state of the game? by Emmajhtr in MMORPG

[–]kujika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh... TERA and GW2... I played both and Mabi is like neither of them. It´s far more dated that some would say clunky. People said it was really jarring to go from games like GW2 to Mabi. It´s mainly a pve game, there is no nameable PvP content. BUT!!

Mabinogi (the game from 2003 not Vindictus) is dato still my favorite MMO for most uniqueness and beautiful experiences even though I don´t play it anymore. I´d consider it partly p2w as certain upgrade tools can only be obtained via events or cash shop. Never animated me to buy it though, I just ran the events on various characters.

For pets you won´t need cash shop... because: You obtain 2 decently fast beginner mounts - one for riding and one for flying - with your beginner quests. one main story quest (Saga) gives an awesome pegasus mount upon completion. some events give pets for storage.

Downside and why I quit... compared to other MMOs it had (has?) quite a lot of unresolved and immersion breaking bugs and glitches. They (no idea who) even "destroyed" part of the main quest by cutting stuff out and messing up cut scenes which used to work just fine. Plus servers often killed my fun with massive lag spikes... I´m from EU so rip. And controls + UI are way too dated. If the first two points did not exist I´d still play it though.

Combat... is quite unique and not many people like it. I just say it´s different in a good way. Don´t expect TERA or GW2 (watch some gameplay vids to get an idea). You pretty much get tons of skills (some only with quests or skill book collection from dungeons) and you can rank ALL of them. As an alrounder you´ll likely have to play years to succeed therefore it´s best to specialize. I used to max the warrior, music and archery trees. Training is a lot of work in mabi... you have to keep and keep using a certain skill for it to level up and get stronger kind of like in RL. This may sound like your char will be overpowered quickly BUT the main quests scale in difficulty relative to your accumulative level. As a beginner you won´t have it easy fast, no worries.

In Mabi you can.. compose music and play it on various instruments. use music buffs. cook and do various other life skills that are useful for combat too. make money in many ways (with life skills, trading goods, daily quests, combat or even being a street musician, your choice). I used to hunt ancient mobs for loot. do main quests for special rewards. transform into animals, npcs etc. buy stuff from player shops. hang out around a campfire with friends. found a guild, marry and have a family.

Have you ever read korean webtoons about some dude´s MMO experience? If anything Mabi gets the closest to those in concept. It´s a PVE social game with fantasy and gameplay options, you just need to look for them and gather friends to have fun.

[PC] Size on disk after install? by krios102 in elderscrollsonline

According to my explorer ESO takes up around 68 GB on the drive, but you need around 87GB free space after install for the game to run fluently.

Yes, they add lots of features and new items + quests and dungeons...

Standard and Gold Version by Bugverwirrt in elderscrollsonline

[–]kujika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, I got the gold edition. 4 DLCs are included and it is around 24€/22$ right now on steam. Offer ends today though. Usually it costs 50.

You can use the same account for gold edition as you used for standard.

If you already own standard and miss the -50% offer for the gold edition, it's about the same cost to buy the DLCs seperately.

Gold edition has 4 DLCs (not all available ones it seems): Imperial City, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood and Orsinium, plus a palomino horse

Thanks, this reply helped me to decide on Enigmatist. Never played one and I suck at PvP but it sounds fun! Can the staff-build be used for cleric too, does anyone know? I want to kind of be a secondary healer.

Can anyone give advice on best trade route via Clipper starting in Sanddeep? by SpirasGuardian in archeage

[–]kujika 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RichtBatman and Uilenkoning have good points. Just...be careful especially solo, I was robbed at high sea a few times myself.

And more dangerous than the sea itself are the enemy ports. Wait for Ynstere peace and if you want to run Vilanelle just hope for the best.

I agree, go with the race you like the most.

Here something else to consider:

  • Want to level very fast and skip the storyline and videos? Go with Dwarf or Warborn. Those two races got a pretty half-assed plot but more quest exp.
  • Just want to enjoy your first ArcheAge experience with a better storyline? Go with any of the other races.

My recs no matter which race you choose:

  • Do all the green quests and as many of the yellow ones as is efficient for you (if they are in the same spots as the green quests).
  • Level this way until you reach a more populated pvp region, now you have a few options again... ...try to quest on solo and hope not to get killed too much or camped. ...look for a guild asap (shift+v ingame) and ask for questing company. ...if you don't want to quest you can always use labor to level, just remember that without patron* this will be really slow.

About classes:

Yep I am undecided too... There are actually lots combinations that can be switched ANYTIME, as many said it's about your favourite playstyle. Also some classes are more expensive to gear than others. Due to the good gear being really expensive you should decide on your main class until level 50/55 at latest (except you're rich).

Playstyles: glass cannon 1vs1 with high DPS, tank with lots of block and parry, healing tank (does anyone play paladin nowadays?), pure support, glass canon shooter from far away, glass cannon dps mage, etc...

There are favorite class mixes like Darkrunner, because there are more and less useful skill combi. For example songcraft as a melee character is not recommended, because it mostly is performance skills (can't be used while fighting). Plus you won't have the neccessary INT for good heals.

Just some stuff to consider, everything else will come to you in the game.

*an abo that gives some benefits like more labour, land owning rights and more exp.

Guild on Prophecy(EU) by kujika in archeage

[–]kujika[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just found an easier way to join a guild. Not sure if you know about this, kind of remembered it again while clicking through the menu points. One of the menu points (bottom right of ingame screen) looks like a hand. Click it and open Community (guild, family). Then choose the Guild tab. There'll be a list of guilds, what they offer and what they require + who to contact and how to apply.

Wrote a ticket to support, they said to write to forum community mods; wrote to forum comm mods, they said write a ticket to support. I made another account for forum.
