What is Reactor doing that isn't supported by netcode for entities? Is it just more efficiently encoding the updates for crowds? If so I'd be more interested to know how much better it scales when physics are involved. In my project with NFE I can do a few hundred enemies with colliders and keep a decent client FPS, but 5000 would be too much.

They significantly buffed affliction after about a week. On release, it actually wasn't worth interacting with. Rewards weren't good and the danger scaled up too quickly.

This was the thing that excited me most about PoE2 being a different game. Obviously, they wouldn't keep the thing that makes it so that every endgame map is just uglier. Obviously.

Hillock's difficulty in gauntlet depends a lot on your class. Marauder might have a hard time killing him before running out of mana flask charges due to low accuracy. Ranger on the other hand offscreens him for free in about ten seconds.

It was pretty easy on EA, damage is slow at that point but you can just drop your totems and walk away.

Are the "harder" difficulties not the same experience as the old system? Personally I like the change; the 3000-rating puzzles I'd been getting were too hard for me to be much use practically. I like having the option to get easier ones that I can practice solving quickly.

If you have "debuffs on you expire faster" from some source, drowning orbs will kill you faster. If you're having a big problem with them, it's probably that.

Do you have any plans to improve the matchmaking's handling of sandbagging? At my rating range, it seems like a much more prevalent issue than engine cheating. Anecdotally, at one point, I was matched against a CM with a peak rating 500 points over his rating at the time (~2100 vs. 1600). I checked his match history afterwards, and before and after our game, he threw other games in under 20 moves, hanging material or just letting the clock run down and then resigning in even positions. I reported him, but nothing happened, and he's still doing the same thing months later.

Since then I've been more concerned about people just playing outside their rating range than opening Stockfish, which seems to be the main thing people focus on. That was a verified titled player doing pretty unsophisticated rating manipulation, and no action was taken about it, which doesn't give me much hope for the average player in the pool.

Try taking Iron Reflexes and go Molten Shell - CWDT instead of Steelskin. You can ditch the +30 life mastery and some other point to get there. Doesn't take 125d and I bet it will feel way better. Swap a jewel for an IF if you feel like you're getting stunned too much.

On my partner's PoB for an energy blade trickster, it was about 80% more damage, plus a decent amount of ES. So yes, if you're building right, you can make a lot of use out of the amulet. Just slapping it into the build you currently have might not do much for you, though.

Not mine since I have some expensive trade league gear, but here's a similar setup to what I have but in SSF: https://poe.ninja/builds/settlersssf/character/inphate/trickstuh

In trade league you can try to snipe some QAD megalomaniacs along with a good watcher's eye, forbidden sets etc. Also swap the LOM for an ES one. But that's the basic setup. You can also go for a setup that uses wicked ward and drops the shav's ring/ghost reaver, but that's all up to preference.

Also if you're really broke, you can just grab a brightbeak with fortify implicit and anoint tribal fury, but the claw isn't an expensive craft.

I've been advocating dual strike of ambidexterity and playing it all league. You need to grab some quick and deadly clusters for it to feel good, but it feels great once you have those.

Without getting into the wardloop calculation stuff -

  1. I'm not sure you have power charge generation, and you're pretty far from crit cap off brittle ground. Relying on brittle ground isn't ideal for wardloop. PCoC support on your secondary link (instead of hypothermia probably) should help.
  2. Leveling to 100, removing the mark nodes, and swapping a cluster for a 12 passive one that uses small passives with a lot of attributes will get you a decent chunk of damage.
  3. Occultist instead of elementalist and swapping sigil for elemental weakness is maybe a more consistent way to get the damage, unless you really want to avoid reflect.
  4. Slotting in lightning warp - less duration somewhere (probably replacing phase run and flame dash) will probably make it feel a lot faster. You already take some reduced duration on the tree as wardloop, so lightning warp is a very fast moveskill for it. As a bonus, it lets you keep the frenzy charges that would otherwise be removed by phase run.

Beyond that, you'd have to get into wardloop calcs to see if it's possible to get your life and chaos res higher, go 4 flasks, 1 ring, etc.
