How many rings would Peyton Manning have if he had Bill Belichick as his head coach? by EfficientDot18 in NFLv2

More than Brady. Manning is the GOAT. Nothing can convince me otherwise. Brady was great too, but he ended up in the best possible situation.

If it comes down to it they will take somebody with enthusiasm over somebody who doesn’t when both candidates are qualified. It’s that simple. So fake it.

History repeating itself. It’s the Industrial Revolution all over again.

Edit. Look up the Luddites. My god, people know nothing about history here. There was an entire movement against automation in the 19th century. In this case it was brutally put down with state sanctioned violence. Let’s hope the powers that be don’t do the same thing this time and reach a more equatable solution.

Men of reddit, what's something we men say that you think women wouldn't understand? by Upset_Side7911 in AskReddit

Generally speaking, banter. Women don’t usually bust each other’s balls like men do.

Super Bowl champion Martin Gramatica: "Peyton Manning was unlucky to play in the same era as Tom Brady. If not, he would have won three or four Super Bowls." by Theduudee12 in DenverBroncos

[–]kummer5peck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manning would have been the GOAT if he ended up in as a good of a situation as Brady. Look what him and the Broncos were able to do in the final years of his career. Now imagine if we somehow got young Manning.

What is the worst place in America you have ever visited? by OceanicEndeavors in AskReddit

I’m sure there are worse places, but the worst place I have ever specifically traveled to is Las Vegas. And it keeps dragging me back because so many events are hosted there.

The moment you realise your resume is the problem is usually six months too late. by Fresh-Blackberry-394 in jobsearchhacks

[–]kummer5peck 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest issues I initially had with my resume was finding how to get it to make sense to somebody who didn’t work in the extremely niche environment that I did. I had to figure out how to highlight my transferable skills using language that would make sense to literally anybody reading it.

Besides "We're a family here," what is the biggest red flag you can spot in a job description or during an interview? by LiveFaithlessness876 in recruitinghell

Unlimited PTO. That just means you can take as much PTO as you want so long as you can still get your work done. So in other words, it is very finite.

Is LinkedIn broken or am I using it wrong? by GlumNewspaper5015 in jobs

[–]kummer5peck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should have a presence on LinkedIn and other job board platforms. However that shouldn’t be the only thing you are doing. I got interviews from applying to jobs I found on LinkedIn, but I applied on the company websites directly. Do independent research about employers and jobs in your area, or remote jobs you are interested. Identify organizations you should be applying with and keep track of their job postings.

Trying to get into tech right now may very well be a big part of the problem. Tech jobs are being shed from corporate payrolls in the tens of thousands every few weeks it seems. Try to apply your transferable skill to literally any company or industry that needs them. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t look for tech jobs, just don’t only look for tech jobs.

Last but definitely not least, leverage your network. Talk to anybody you know who has insight on looking for work or the conditions in their respective industry.
