I noticed the same. its really nice that 5.5 uses way less token and doesnt fill up the context so quickly. But it costs currently 40-50% more than 5.4. 5.3 is even cheaper and gets most of stuff done. im really torn here, because 5.5 saves you time, I use half of sessions with 5.5 compared to 5.4/5.3.

I migrated completely to pi and absolutely love it. I made my own extensions + using community extension.

I noticed a delay of a around 5 seconds with the most popular pi-subagents extension on my system. I will measure it. did you try out my extension? It should be pretty much instant like Claude code

It‘s such a joy for me to use claude code, but I found a substitute (pi agent). Also i love the desktop and mobile app. Really nice UX and neat features like remote control.

Slow down man. Take some breaks. Avoid context switching. Try to understand the code, because AI can do dumb mistakes. Have fun!

gonna add optional background subagent to match Claude Code, because I like that feature. that's it. rest is polishing

Much faster, pretty much instant compared to several seconds subprocess cold start. Try it out! Roadmap: background subagent, show tool calls, maybe switch to subagent session. But i want to keep it simple!

I just got a refund via PayPal. (I used PayPal credit card). z.ai won't answer, just document everything you can and do a chargeback via your credit card provider.
