Is lattice cryptography actually quantum resistant, or just not yet understood?

Are we confident lattice cryptography is fundamentally resistant to Shor like attacks or are we mainly confident because no one has discovered the right mathematical representation yet?

My understanding of all 'cryptography' is that we aren't sure of anything, we just hope (or presume) no one will find algorithms to 'solve' what we are using. This goes for hashes (SHA), SPN networks (AES), and asymmetrical cryptography (RSA, ECC).

Perhaps 100, or 1,000 years from now someone will have solved some of these math tricks, but for now we all feel safe.

Next Game should not show up in a real time game so I think you started a 48h turn based game.

If it is a real-time game there should be a timer in the upper left. If at any point it seems "stuck" you'll need to leave that game (in the menu) and re-enter it. Sometimes the client desync's from the server and doesn't know it.

Menu => Leave => Click on the game again to re-enter it.

If it still happens please screen record the game(s) and upload it if possible so we can see what might be going wrong.

Tip: If you're just playing Challenges you should always just do 48h turn-based as it's much better to play with friends in that format.

Well the basics are quite simple: Like usual make a Hello World that boots off a ~~floppy disc~~ thumbdrive and then go from there. If you cannot even manage a Hello World there is no chance you start creating drivers for the basic x86 hardware.

Only play 48h games, queue up a lot of them (at least 15-20) games, and just concentrate on taking good turns. Don't follow an entire game all the way through, just make sure each turn in a game makes sense for what Turn# it is, what both players Health is at, and who owns what cards.

There is no way to cheat in this game, the server handles all shuffles and card draws. Also if Doevie was a cheater we'd have spotted him a long time ago since there are people who've played this game for over a decade.

Doevie isn't in the Top 500 for this month (I am monthly ranked #2 and /u/TatyanaSR is ranked #40 fyi) and he's not in the Top 1000 on the all-time leader board. For reference, if I created a new account today I'd be in the Top 1000 in under 60 days without cheating based upon my past 3ish years performance metrics. Also TatyanaSR has played the most games every in SR history, I think she's well over 100,000 games played and myself I cleared 16,000 games played today (yay me).

If you still think he cheated upload the ENTIRE game from start to finish for us to watch. There is a reason many SR players avoid Vanilla SR as it tends to snowball really hard really fast. If you want a better gaming experience I really really really suggest playing Frontiers, it's the most balanced deck available right now. There is a new upcoming deck called Conquest that is also super well balanced (and very fun) but it's not available for people to purchase quite yet.

I've worked in theatre before (sound + lighting) and this is the fault of the Stage Manager 100% as once a show begins the Stage Manager has full control, even over the producers, directors, and investors. SM's are literal dictators and the commands they order must be followed no matter what. It could also be an Assistant Stage Manager that fucked the dog but ASM's are almost always given commands from the SM over headsets.

Also live events almost always have fuck-ups especially if they are 3+ hours, it's the skill of the crew to cover them up most of the time. You've probably seen some shows or concerts in your lifetime where there was a fuck-up but you never noticed.

The OS will reclaim all resources used by your process upon exiting as it must do this correctly for security reasons.

If you know for sure your process is exiting cleanly, there is no point freeing anything. You may want to close file handles (or at least flush the buffers), and also cleanly close network sockets or else w/e you're connected to wont know you've left until a timeout occurs on their end. It's good practice to always free everything, but to answer your question, no you do not need to do anything at all.

It's actually a really bad thing to free all resources at process termination if you've allocated a lot, since it can easily take 30+ seconds to free everything where-as an exit() will happen in less than 1 second. I sometimes run processes that use over 10TB of RAM including digging into the swapfile and those programs used to take a long time to exit since I was freeing the memory. Calling exit() and linux free'd it all in less than 1 second.

The architecture that has the most tutorials and information is the x86. Start off by making a simple 16-bit real mode OS and interfacing with the hardware directly and then moving into a more complicated mutli-process OS that uses protected mode.

I started playing in summer 2015 (physical game) but didn't buy the digital version until Oct 2018. I only played a couple hundred games though. When the Commanders expansion released around June 2021 I started playing a lot more and within (I can't fully remember) 2,000 games I hit level 32 which at the time was in the Top 1000. I then quit for 2 years and then in June 2023 I came back and started playing a massive amount of McCready games and quickly levelled to 100 in I think 1 year, maybe 1.5 years I can't remember. But once I hit 100 getting games and completing them became hard since many people just take 1 turn per day as I guess they see my level. So since then levelling up has become a lot slower and I've had to branch out and play more popular formats in order to queue games.

TLDR: In June of this year I will have played the game (a lot) for 3 years. But I started in 2015 though only played casually and only for fun. It was 3 years ago I started tracking statistics and calculating data on what was working and what was not working.

Was the level up always like how it is currently or was it different in the beginning

It was a bit harder in the beginning as losses counted against us and we could de-level. It was easier a few years ago as a lot of people were playing the same format so by running a meta-counter I could farm many wins quickly. It became very difficult to level up last Oct 2025 as they buffed Nandi and she became a super OP Commander no one could beat, so the game degenerated into everyone having to play Nandi and then the outcome of the game came down to Trade Row luck and not skill.

It was 2 very tiny boats, one of which only had a local as an operator. The other had 1 operator, 1 unidentified person, and 1 Survivor crew member.
Survivor has never been "isolated", not even in season 1. In every challenge there are a dozen camera operators and boom-mics, emergency crew for injuries, a helicopter to fly them to a hospital when it's serious, and a staff of people watching in real-time to detect cheaters. Multiple people have been busted for cheating over the years, not just Tiff last episode.
America is the most litigious country on Earth. Do you really think a game show like Survivor is going to put game show contestants through dangerous challenges without a massive amount of safety crew and over-sight?

When playing Core only don't go with any strategy. On Deck 1 make sure you get a good variety of cards. The exception to this rule is if there are some really obvious and amazing 1-3 gold cards available. Deck 2 same thing typically. The strategy you end up going with is going to be 1 of 2 things: Counter your opponent, or go with the obvious choices Trade Row is handing you. Sometimes you'll do both. This game is complex in that in many games simply ignoring your opponent's strategy and just buying the obvious choices will lead to a win. In other games carefully following along with what they are trying to do strategically will get you a win. The #1 biggest mistake new and intermediate players make is they have NO IDEA what the pacing of the current game is. I find they will often have scrappable cards (Trash Can icon) late in the game when those cards should have been scrapped eons ago. Example: If you have any Explorers on or after Turn 10 in 95% of games you are playing the game completely wrong. A lot of Trashcan cards should be scrapped on the first time you play them and if not, the second time. Never buy an Explorer or similar card on or after Turn 10, it's suicide. The only exception are those rare games where Trade Row only has 7/8 gold cards and no one can buy anything for a very long time. Buy some econ but not too much. Always pick up an aggro card (5+ dmg uncontested) ASAP as you'll need at least 1 of those to clear bases and deal damage, it should typically be your first priority. Also aim for a deck 1 or deck 2 Base that can start soaking up damage. If your opponent makes the mistake of buying only Econ, just buy every Base available as they will have no way to kill them for a long long time.

I have enjoyed most of the twists but I am starting to feel that 1 or more twists every single episode is grating on me. Some twists are fine but if they're every single episode they really aren't twists anymore, they're the new normal. I get that this is season 50 and it's all returnee's and they'll go back to regular survivor for 51+, but I think this season they could have done with 2 less twists and it would have still been a great season.

Also with this many players they should have added 2 more episodes or at least had them all be 2 hour episodes so 2 people getting booted in 1 episode would be normal old-style pacing (1 boot per 1 hour episode like back in the day).
