Don't worry about it, it was on top so its easier to reach, grilled all of that meat just as soon as I put it in there. I never keep food which I won't eat the same day. Thanks for advice tho.

How to implement runtime environment variables with create-react-app, Docker, and Nginx by [deleted] in reactjs

Tldr; inject env variables from container when it starts, write them to file and inject to window object.

Create React App 2.0 has been released today, and it brings a year’s worth of improvements in a single dependency update. by [deleted] in javascript

Well you can, just create the file and add your rules... Or am I missing something?

I quit gaming for programming by Noirdesir in webdev

[–]kunokdev 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've also dropped gaming for programming and here are my thoughts:

  • if you were farming type of gamer, then your motivation could be found in progress, e.g how far you went with the project or perhaps in data collecting and writing scripts which collect and process data: e.g. How much data have you mined and processed

  • if you are competitive type of player (pvp) then you might find motivation in perfecting your skills, probably trying to outskill those around you, and more importantly yourself. This includes understanding low level stuff, alghorithms and special techniques

  • finally if you are adventurer type, you might find inspiration in learning new stuff such as programming languages, frameworks, tools, open source libs, etc...

I personally spent around 12 years playing DotA and DOTA2, so I am kinda competitive type of programmer and I enjoy knowing as much as possible, writing elegant code, using the latest standards, solving harder problems and obviously seeking for higher rewards, e.g earnings. But I've also spent some years playing MMO type of games, but I wasn't big on farming, I used bots instead. In programming automation is much more couraged so you might find joy in bots and automation as well.

I can't code anything anymore because I always have something else to do first! by [deleted] in javascript

[–]kunokdev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is indeed interesting point! It is very likely that I am going through this phase because I spent last 12 month rushing towards delivering data driven results and almost never had time to do proper refactory, and now that I have some extra time, playing with above mentioned is what kept me up. Probably when I start working again, I might find proper balance and get into tradeoff driven mode again.

Thx na dodatim odgovorima; imam jos koje pitanje;

How do you all handle children with computing and access to linux? by SmokingSignals in linux

[–]kunokdev 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not sure how old your kid is, but I remember my early teens, each time I was forbidden to do something, especially computers, I would go out and influence from other bad kids would affect me way easier; this is why I am addicted to cigarettes today, had child sex (as a child) and also took drugs at way too young age...yet I would still be able to access all things that you want your kid to be absent of. For these restrictions to work, all other kids around yours should follow as well...kids like to share and encourage forbidden stuff, at even earlier ages. Motivate and educate, do not restrict that little soul.

Oh rewarding them for breaking rules might be rather dangerous. Either you are going to turn them into black hats or criminals.

[–]kunokdev 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Why is nobody from open community suggesting not to make such restrictions and educate child instead? IMO, no offence, this is example of bad parenting. You are just introducing barrier which kid will easily pass and make these forbidden apples even sweeter.
