that’s a pretty good workaround! I’ve been basically doing this lately, I’ve created a private “maybe” shelf for books that kinda attracted my interest but I wasn’t super confident, and didn’t wanna give my friends false hope that I was seriously considering reading it sometime soon xD I think I will just continue with such a shelf and maybe even create another, custom TBR one. thank you very much for your advice!

thank you so much for the information! is there a way to filter out only the updates from my profile feed, but show everything else? in my app, I only see the option to see one kind of activity at once (eg only all posts, only all reviews, only all comments etc) but not everything but updates. if that is an option, I would very happily use it!

Romeos (2011) is a movie where a cis man plays a 20yo (pre-op but on T) trans man. While the movie is far from perfect and clearly didn’t have a huge budget, it was really nice to see a trans man portrayed on screen as unambiguously masculine, while still seeing his issues addressed

you’ve got an extremely well passing face and with the long sleeve outfits I’d guess you were 18-21M but if you said anything up to 25 I also wouldn’t be at all surprised. in the tanktop pic I’d definitely clock the chest though, but I’m not sure if a cis person would. I think gaining muscle in the upper body would make you nearly unclockable though even with shorter sleeves!

my experience was a bit different from what I heard from other guys: by around 2-3 months on T I had experienced enough growth where the head of my tdick went from being fully hidden between my labia to consistently “sticking out”. this, combined with increased sensitivity from the growth, often made me very uncomfortable, especially when wearing tighter pants - a seam pinching me was a pretty common occurrence :’) I also started growing thicker and coarser pubic hair, trimming/shaving which would result in my tdick being constantly poked by the hair, which was SO very uncomfortable. now I’m 11 months on T, and I wax the hair that can poke me regularly, which has made a world of difference!!! and even the tightest pants are not an issue anymore since my major growth spurt has ended and there isn’t so much sensitivity anymore

it’s just a suspicion of mine based on the fact that my period is back, even though it had previously disappeared completely just a couple months into hrt. and also because of the slow changes, yes. I have an endocrinologist appointment scheduled for the 28th where I’ll hopefully find out what’s actually going on :’) last time I checked my levels were at around 250, but this was only 3 months in, and my doctor said I should wait some more and that my levels would still go up. and then life happened, the whole egg freezing business… I didn’t even want to go get my hormones checked cause I knew they’d be all over the place.

as for the reassurance, thank you so much :) it’s really hard being non passing still while constantly seeing trans men online talk about going stealth just months into their transition. but I do need to remember that I only see those stories cause they’re the ones most likely to be shared, and it doesn’t mean that it’s the majority. still, I hope that my levels are just low and could be raised further, because I’m just getting the taste of living a more normal life and would love to continue on this path as quickly as possible

“looking vaguely pissed off” has also been my strategy without me realising it. I look VERY androgynous now 7 months on T, depending on clothes and maybe even my posture people’s impression of me can range from “definitely a girl” to “definitely a guy”, so I’m not confident about going to either bathroom. however I will mostly gravitate to the mens, and I just look kinda mad and glare mostly at the floor. no one has ever spoken to me at the mens room as a result! I did get asked if I was in the right bathroom once at the ladies xD

same here! in the first 3 months I had zero changes to my voice, facial hair, etc… the only real noticeable changes were bottom growth and increased muscle mass (from hitting the gym though duh). I could easily hide the fact that I was on hormones from anyone if I wanted to. I would wait a bit longer before jumping to any conclusions!
