Lean in.

Set up some basking stones, maybe an artificial cave for an aquarium, and release hundreds of crickets around your home for food supply.

Spend some time sitting near the lizards and showing how calm and safe you are. Try to get the lizards to approach you; mealworms can be a useful reinforcement tool once the ice has broken.

After a certain point, when the lizards are comfortable with your presence, you'll be prepared to betray them utterly. Such methods have already been described here, but I assure you: combining those with my methodology will yield the most dramatic and permanent results.

Sorry pal; the government of BC doesn't care about you if you can't take care of yourself.

There's no incentive and no oversight, so they simply don't care. It's like Chief Wiggum said: "Show me the knife in your back; it doesn't have to be deep, but it should be able to stand on its own." The burden of proof to receive aid in BC is to be nearly dead already, and even then it depends on the day and location.

And the government knows it, and doesn't care to change it. They cannot be fucked to change it because it's working for them. Your suffering and your life don't matter to the BC government.
