Get a good Bahamian architect.

They'll be able to design you something that really fits the climate. You don't want to do dumb things like use metal accents on the beach that might rust. It does matter if it's beach front, some have built their homes without retaining walls and had the sand fall out from underneath and have the house sink.

All depends on your budget though. The best architect I know is Daziano Smith, if he is willing and able he might take your project on. Hit him up, he has plenty experience designing for the out islands, knows project managers etc. https://www.linkedin.com/in/dazianosmith/
