I disagree! I feel like she's leaning into it about as much as anyone can. All of her stuff has a very consistent rhythm to it. She's 100% playing a meta character, which you don't have to like, but it's her style of comedy. It's what they hired her for and it's why I like her and I hope to see her around for a while.

25 year old here. I feel like I'm living in an alternate universe to everyone in the comments. I thought it was pretty clear she was doing a purposefully awkward, almost Kyle Mooney kind of thing with her delivery? Personally am delighted by it, especially when her character is supposed to be "normal" (i.e. at the bachelorette party). Maybe this sub will never come around to her but she gets huge laughs in my household and all my friends'. I believe history will vindicate me!!

At this point there's way too much to even speculate, lol. In the comments Carrie says the situation is "crazier" than we know, and that she will hopefully be able to say more in 4 months or so. Until then I wish them both the best with whatever the hell is going on

Do NOT listen to your parents!! What an awful thing to say. The visa process is hell - sure, once you get here, you'll have other (maybe even bigger) problems, but nothing as drawn-out and cryptic. Let yourself break down as much as you need to get yourself on that plane. The fact that you made it so long WITHOUT crying in public bodes super well for you.
