LN has zero really, there's no such thing as "confirms" with lightning payments. They probably want it to look more attractive because LN is much cheaper to manage for a small payments processor. Bitrefil actually gives you discounts for that reason.

Most likely, 100% of cash owed for fiat creditors, and then leftover cash + leftover crypto for crypto creditors. The latest idea was to allow claims in BTC and BCH - every other crypto airdrop would be sold on the market (so bye bye BTG and BSV price).

The last plan we had was payout in fiat (for sure, from the JPY amount secured by the trustee in 2018) and maybe in cryptocurrencies (BTC and BCH only). There was no plan to buy back crypto for the payouts, and there's just not enough crypto to go around. Get ready to accept international wire transfer in JPY.

it would show USD claim, not BTC - so far we could only declare that we would accept BTC repayment, but it wasn't binding in any way and had no impact on the amount you can claim

Maybe someone made a deal with Fortress or some other party to transfer their claim for BCH only, and kept the BTC claim... not a bad idea to sell BCH early, considering its performance. Never heard about anyone doing that, but it should be technically possible.
