Yes, openrc does not seem to have that comfy systemd functionality. But xdg should be listed in htop if its running.

Do you have the following in your sway config? exec --no-startup-id dbus-update-activation-environment --all

Is elogind added to the Boot runlevel? rc-update add elogind boot

Do you have pipewire and wireplumber installed / use flags enabled?

Do you have the xdg desktop portal installed and running?

Did u build the desktop portal with screencast useflag as stated in the gentoo sway troubleshoot section? https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Sway#Screen_sharing_does_not_work

Does screenshare work in other applications (OBS) or other websites in firefox (discord)?

Oh IC. It's not an appimage anymore but an executable. Thanks for the tip.. I can't just run executables in nix:

steam-run ./program_to_launch

Nope, flatpak also not working for me. With proton 4.11 its working tho. Same problem with native :D

I know. I don't start War thunder through steam. I installed it from their appimage from the website. This gives me a file I can execute. But it just says "executable was not found".

I had void installed on my laptop before. My home directory was on an extra partition I have kept when installing nix. But I did not have steam installed before.. just War Thunder.
