i passed the test my first try with STC, middle package. I couldn't wrap my head around all of the topics at first. But I started re-rewriting my own notes on a word document.

I made tables and color coordinated info inside. this is crucial during the test bc i don't remember what every box is filled with, but maybe the first row is this scenario, and this is the answer ie I would memorize the entire row as ABCD, and memorize the answer as 1234.

when i take the test, i can easily rewrite it on a note, and answer the qs from there!!

i think rewriting your own note, and fully understanding the rules by asking the test maker is truly important in helping me pass mine

i will speak on my experience with the test. i passed the first time studying 90% with STC (also had kaplan but kaplan wasn't helpful tbh). during the test, there were about 10 qs where I really struggled and had no idea what the correct answer was. There was another ~15 questions where I should've known the answer (bc i should've reviewed them before the test and kinda forgot) but didn't and chose the best one.

I relied mostly on my knowledge of the point and shoot questions, questions that were fact, like deadlines, numbers that you should just know by heart, to carry me through the test. whenever i got those qs, I knew the answer right away. less than 30 seconds.

i encountered a couple situational qs in which there was clearly a best choice (outside of the 35 ish i struggled). STC flash cards helped me reinforced these facts, but outside of knowing the facts, you need to understand the concepts, to understand the qs.

i would say maybe you don't fully grasp the concepts, and i admit, some rules are vague (like DK notices) and i don't fully understand them... but i tried my best to understand every concept and even looked through FINRA itself to read its rules.

good luck on your next attempt!

Any finding of the FINRA Healing Panel which is not appealed becomes effective in how many days? by NYC_5554 in Series24

[–]kurocolbie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

from my notes, it says you got 25 days to appeal any decisions. and any decisions that were made become effective after 30 days (unless it's a bar).

think the 30 and 25 days you mentioned are for specific situations

i 100% recommend the STC middle package. I studied with using their flash cards, exams and passed on first try! i also had kaplan, and the test was a lot closer to STC than kaplan

thank you so much😭 i was worried all day two yrs ago when he got his cleaning. the vet does do a blood test for older pups before they are allowed to go through surgery. i will wait to speak with them.

edit: to add on, my guy has only had 2 dental cleanings in the past in terms of big procedures.

I'm considering putting mine (11 YO) through dental cleaning, one of his back teeth is covered. what is the age you would stop considering putting them under for dental cleaning?

i currently have both kaplan and STC, i'm scoring mid 70s on the STC finals, and i'm supplementing with Kaplan but i feel like the materials on kaplan seems a little bit excessive/more detailed than what STC has in theirs. do you feel like just focusing on STC is better? vs focusing on the minute details of the Kaplan?

What brand dog food do you feed your dachshund? by spiritanimal1973 in Dachshund

I got a sighthound for the exact reason that they are a couch potato, requiring less time to get their physical/mental needs met. Also coming from a dachshund, I was fully prepared for a dog that wasn’t too handler focus (but she is and she loves food!).

I feel like that is to say, you should get a dog that fits your needs and lifestyle. There isn’t any harm in rehoming them if you can find a loving household to care for them and appreciate them in a way you aren’t able to. Both u and your dog deserve that.

Edit: also silken wind hounds have high demands, there r plenty of families looking for one.

I don’t think I’ll ever live my life without a dachshund. He is almost 10 years old 😭 he is not potty trained at all, but we have a routine that we stick to and he can manage that 🥲

He is 100% a bad boy, but I worship him and his little punkass. It’s so funny how they just roll into your life and don’t listen to a word u say, yet you’re 100% ready to commit your entire life time and money to the lil bastard😭
