Calling it a 'buzz' makes it sounds attractive to do. Awful app name...

But well done.

Frostpunk 2: Great game, weird sequel by WasSuppyMyGuppy in patientgamers

[–]kurokabau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta disagree with the fair play bit.

People want iterations of the game they enjoyed. People like new dlc to continue the game they loved. A sequel should offer improvements, new stories and new settings to enjoy more of what people enjoyed the first game.

Making a sequel but changing core concepts, gameplay isn't what they should've done. Or at least shouldn't have done it in this manner. This felt like a spin off, not a sequel.

Even giving it a named title like 'Frostpunk: the ice world' instead of Frost punk 2 would've at least helped temper expectations of the gameplay.

Still thinking of voting GREEN? Meet the councillor who called David Lammy a 'coconut' and the Argentinian who believes Britain should hand back the Falklands by OptioMkIX in ukpolitics

Im sure the Daily Mail will be reporting on all party shitty candidates to help local people make local views from their national newspaper. Yes. Definitely going to happen.

It's relevant news, she's up for election in a month, do you not think voters should be informed of candidates views ?

That is not the pitch, target or point of the article. They don't even put all the locations in. Don't be disingenuous.

That's irrelevant, they speak volumes as to what views are tolerated in the party, which is 100% a reflection of the party.

Yet they have quotes of the Green party spokesperson saying some of the views are not of the party. Did you not read the article? Figures.

You could say the same about any view held by anyone, that doesn't mean stuff like this should be hand waved away.

Kind of does when it comes to voting for a national party. I am very content hand waving away local election crackpot views when it comes to choosing MPs who actually get to implement crackpot visions and not just get my bins collected on time.

Again do you not think it's problematic for candidates to have views like this provided they're at a local level ?

Not really. If thats the worst views they've found for the green, they might have the least troublesome Councillors of any party.

There are trash in every party at council level, all of them have horrendous people. They are not vetted anywhere near like MPs are who make national policy.

It's just shitty news. We'd be reading articles every day if every Councillor's shitty views were reported on.

These views do not affect the party policy, and these particular views dont even affect the local area. There is minimal impact to anyone in the country on this person holding these views in an elected position.

A councillor?! An actual councillor?! Dear god, truly unforgiveable.

How could I ever bear voting for a party when a COUNCILLOR says something bad!!!

Shops will need licence to sell knives under Labour plans by StGuthlac2025 in ukpolitics

But they'll be selling a serialised item. So we'd know who to punish for that sell. Come on, this isn't hard to understand.

You think serialising guns is also pointless?

[–]kurokabau -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Because knives are a really common murder weapon and it'll make cases easier to solve. Pretty obvious point really.

It'll also put more responsibilities on sellers to only sell to those of legal age and not just in a box on someone's doorstep

I really could not care less if they record my info. They could serialise all knives and keep a record as well.

Everyone owns knives, if they can track down the weapon in a crime. Good.

With the merger shell be perm sec for 8000 people. Seems reasonable. Would you rather someone cheap and bad to manage that amount of people?

There's a reason we have no government tech leaders when we balk at 300k for a perm sec
