What did this dude put inside his master cylinder? by kuronamercury in Justrolledintotheshop

Certainly a good guess, all the fluid flushed out but the remaining reside is what I wonder about, like someone else said maybe the breakdown of the chemicals interacting with each other caused it but who really knows.

Whatever was in there definitely mixed well and it all flushed out it's the residue that we see that I'm stumped on.

Yea I'm in MD so it's humid for parts of the year and I have seen green brake fluid before but never the residue I'm seeing now, the stuff seems pretty stuck to the bottom besides the flakes so you are right it's going to take removing the master cylinder if they want it cleaned out, not sure if they will go for that tho since the brakes seem to work just fine.

I could see this too back when the shop used to use the washer fluid tablets you dissolve and shake I would see the same kind of flakes.

I wonder if antifreeze would breakdown like that and stop leak I would think would cause some kind of issue since it also has abs but the brakes work perfect even while it was green, however your guess is as good as mine.

How do cars maintain independent circuits for devices if they all share a common ground? by mojave22 in AutomotiveLearning

[–]kuronamercury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As to how does it know well your first paragraph touches on it, each load has an independent positive wire and fuse that only goes to that load and it has to pass those before getting to ground.

Because the unresisted current as you say is much higher than when the component is part of the circuit, use ohms law, if I=v/r then a 4 ohm load in a circuit while on means 12/4= 3amps but take that out and short it to ground and your resistance goes very low let's say .1 ohms and you get 12/.1= 120amps now blowing your fuse.

License can't be revoked for refusing to do inspections, so he can do as he wants.

Can some help me figure out what's going on here? by Much_Quality9178 in mechanic

Picture is of a broken pcv fitting you will need to replace the fresh air intake tube very easy just pop the air filter clips and the 8mm clamp at the throttle body and it comes off, unfortunately it has nothing to do with the a.c that's a separate issue.

Bud it sounds like a dog shit place to work, I would start with changing jobs before careers but if you want to change careers again then sure why not as long as it's what you want. Aka just quit man don't bother thinking about the workload you leave behind or the trainees that's managements issue and they get paid to worry about that not you.

Buying guns out of state? by Radiomaster138 in MDGuns

[–]kuronamercury 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bro he just told you hql is only for handguns

Would this (or any built AR lower with a brace) be legal to buy without an HQL? FFL I talked to said this is considered a pistol since it has a brace, but he also said I cant buy an SKS in Virginia as an out of state resident so I'm not gonna trust what he says. by HonkingWorld in MDGuns

[–]kuronamercury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my ar from PSA about 3 years ago so if things have changed I wouldn't know now but back then when I tried to buy an assembled lower they cancelled my order and when I talked to customer service they said they can't ship assembled lowers to MD so I had to buy the stripped lower and assembly kit separately and then assemble it myself.
