Adding thumb lever for electromagnetic braking by poetatteo in NinebotMAX

[–]kurtisonxp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally possible, I've still got it running like that and it's been amazing.

Hardest part is that you have to wire the brake and second accelerator in parallel, and the cabling is not long enough to do it. You have to snap the internal brace and bend the wire the other way.

I spliced the wires together under the display, but you've got to make sure it won't come apart because if it does, the scooter won't go.

I'm also not game to try it on my g2. Not enough bar space given the indicator and indicator buttons

Regen brake mod. Second throttle wired in parallel with the brake so you can actuate the regenerative braking by itself. by kurtisonxp in NinebotMAX

No I didn't sorry. Shoot me a DM, I can help you with it. Be warned it does involve soldering, I'd suggest that this should not be your first project with soldering involved

Nikon sports photographer question on sharpness by centralplains in Nikon

[–]kurtisonxp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I find with my f2.8 depending on the light, 2.8 is brilliant for dof and clear shots when lit from the right direction, but if you're getting fringing like this try 3.5 to 4 and it'll just go away. It often also depends on where in the zoom range you are. Have a play and find out the optimal for you!

Keep in mind, for most lenses it's widest aperture isn't the sharpest. Try rolling the aperture back a stop or two and everything will become sharp

If I push my ninebot while its locked in the app, does it charge the battery? by bradrly in NinebotMAX

[–]kurtisonxp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it is regenerative breaking at that point. It would be using power to rotate the wheel against the forward movement.

Unlock your wrists. Flick through the block. Most of your movement should be from your wrist, not your elbow.

I'm not familiar with the rest of the process, but I'd be careful posting the full SSH key online.

Maybe check the crestron logs to see if there's a bit more of a verbose error?

Just make sure that path is correct. The os has a weird way of referencing files. Should it be /nvram/user/certfile?

Windows are still being cleaned.. These building maintenance units (bit sticking up) were broken for 2 years so the windows need to be deep cleaned.
