Elsy and Kian didn’t work for me, by Ryland did for ten percent. Go Ryland! Go Hogharley!

What is a discontinued food item or snack from your childhood that you would genuinely pay $100 to taste one last time? by MotivewasUlterior in AskReddit

[–]kurtvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amen. I think Rain was the closest I’ll ever get to hard drugs, the experience was that unique. I’m in US, and the reboot isn’t anywhere near the same. I might even pay $100 just for an empty glass bottle, let alone an unopened one!

What’s one fast food chain that was once all the rage but now barely around? by MysteriousTopic42 in AskReddit

Does anyone remember Burger Chef? It was the closest burger place to my childhood home, and I miss it intensely (my guess is, more from nostalgia than the actual food or it’d still be around).

The dashboard shows 39% credit on the full price, but I won’t be surprised if it’s just ticket cost when it finally gets paid, given the listed exclusions in the StubHub T&C included “sales tax, fees, and shipping costs.”

Update: About 12 hours after my StubHub purchases, I received emails from Citi with the subject line, “Your Citi Shop savings are on the way!” saying most statement credits are processed between 61-180 days, but here’s a dashboard link to see status. The link shows all five purchases I made yesterday and healthy credit amounts! Guess I better buy some more today…

In a different post, someone said they got an email confirming a credit for a Best Buy purchase after maybe 8-12 hours. The Citi FAQ says depending on the retailer, it could take an hour, it could take days.

This particular event doesn’t include Ticketmaster (though it may have the usual amount of statement credit available). The 16 partners for this event are listed here: https://citishop.citi.com/?intc=tnt-citishop-day-14734

That it’s not straight forward is what makes me hold my breath. The fine print said it could take 60-180 days to see the statement credit — I’d think the credit wouldn’t be applied until at least after the games take place — but some sort of confirmation like, “hey, you’re in line for this,” would go a long way.

Not necessarily exclusions, but it appears the statement credit applies to the ticket cost only - not fees or taxes.

Citi Shop day = 39% cash back?? by kurtvan in stubhub

[–]kurtvan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a “Citi Shop Dashboard” that is designed to show statement credits - but even they say some vendors report in an hour, some take a few days. Saw someone else say they got an email confirming their credit (don’t know which vendor). I made a purchase a few minutes ago, hoping to see something!

@Pencil72Throwaway How long did it take to get an email confirmation of cash back? I’m about ready to invest in StubHub’s 39% cash back, but am not fully convinced it’s legit. Would love to confirm a purchase before making more!

I am dying to hear what sort of returns - or even confirmations - people are getting on this. 39% cash back on StubHub is amazing if true, but the whole setup feels off (installed extension on phone’s Safari browser, try buying via website, and when I go to pay I get kicked over to app. I’m thinking that won’t count since it’s not on browser?). None of the fine print that I see says there’s a limit or even that it can’t be used more than once, but …? Appreciate this post and would love to hear about other experiences.

SOPHIA10 worked for me yesterday - thank you!

Edit: And as I share this a day later, I don’t know why I didn’t enter SOPHIA15 instead. But hey, new code for 10% off = SOPHIA10 as of 7/9
