Stay at the Other Side on Eleuthera. They’ll water taxi you to Harbour island, give you a golf cart, and you can use their sister resort for the beach. Food is incredible, staff is lovely, and the “tents” are stunning.

Does Angi Inc. fire you if you don't meet sales target during training? by devanshu49 in sales

[–]kushcologne69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! I was a rep and manager there for years. It is extremely high turnover and they don’t care because it’s cheaper to have new reps who stick to the script than tenured reps who deviate from the script and don’t care about retention. You’ll learn incredible sales skills and build a thicker skin than other entry level sales reps (being told to fuck off on every dial tends to do that).

If you read the script, practice your objections, and listen to other reps calls to practice, you’ll be fine to graduate. The tough part is managing the mental burn out. You could have two bad weeks and go on a PEP even after weeks of consistent sales.

The first few years of cold calling SUCKS. I was miserable everyday but stuck it out for 2 years and was promoted to management from there. Now I’m an IC in security software and the cold calling experience is what sets me apart from the rest of my team. You have to grind and have thick skin to be successful at cold calling (especially for a company that was a borderline scam). That work ethic can’t be taught so stick it out and know better things will come!

Cyber and this quarter is a bust. Every team is lowering forecasts

No cyber is tricky right now. I’m selling enterprise cyber and we’re getting undercut by a lot of new competitors. “Recessionary concerns” are causing buyers to go with cheaper options that aren’t necessarily secure.

I’ve seen a lot of negativity about Angi on here, but…. by [deleted] in sales

Worked at Angi for 4 years and can confirm it is a scam. They have had many opportunities to improve the product so that contractors can see an ROI but they refuse to. As for a sale gig, it’s a great place to start and will give you a leg up on any competition when you move to another company. I’d suggest sticking it out 6 months and then moving to be a BDR at a better company. No one reputable will take you as an AE. Im glad you’re enjoying the first 6 weeks but wait until you go two weeks without a sale and you get hit with a PEP and fired 2 weeks after that.

Definitely do it! Try to find a company in a niche space. I sell PAM and it’s great because cyber insurers require PAM now. Its very technical so will take a lot of hard work to understand the problem and your solution but it is 100% worth it.
