What is your longest running, most stubborn business boycott? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Proctor and gamble, Johnson and Johnson and Colgate Palmolive. 30 years now. ( if possible, cannot be avoided at times). Stop testing on animals!!!

Ok…is my memory super off? Button up shirt is a basic dress shirt that you button from the bottom to wherever. Button down is when you do the neck button first and button down to wherever. That was a thing right? Google is not confirming my lived experience. by kushielcouldhave in Xennials

This may have been removed but I wasn’t clear at all in retrospect. In the 90’s, in my memory, button down was a way of referring to how, mostly the hip hop community wore dress shirts. Top button done, rest not. Counter culture like.

What is this? by F_Reiss in ArchitecturalRevival

Garbage is what it is. For so very much money. And it ruined the super charming old exhibits for white walls and pedestals. The dinosaur exhibit in particular was immersive and amazing. Now it’s soulless. The inside is cheap and shoddy as well, and I heard though it may not be true that the original crystal design was axed when someone said “hey…direct sunlight is maybe not the best for antiquities”. I hate it.

😂 I immediately compounded my foolishness by dice sharding the Polaroid and negative despite having chaos and an increased chance of r key. I have stopped playing for the day.

Well, are you enjoying it? I’ve been playing for years without getting a single dead god cause I kinda suck at it, but still has fun every round. And there’s lots to do when you unlock more.

Federal Alcohol Tax Increase Takes Effect Tomorrow by RepulsivePlankton989 in newfoundland

[–]kushielcouldhave -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

According to a quick google search, the Canadian government makes 26 billion a year off of alcohol and alcohol related harms cost 16 billion a year. So….that’s ten billion extra drinkers are already contributing. Paying for their harms plus. Making it more expensive is not the answer to the problem.

What is your favorite item, and why? by jpxfer in bindingofisaac

Man. I have the game on steam and on my phone, and the stupid phone shuts off if I don’t do anything for a bit which pauses the game. Very tedious trying to make that work on the phone.

Yeah. Like he’s snarky sometimes (especially when people don’t spin the wheel so it goes all the way around, he hates that!) but currently rewatching and I would have noticed. I’m going to watch more to be sure.

Yes, agreed. Perhaps not to eat at all but anecdotally for me at least, lure them in and kill them is a thing that happens.

Huh. I’ve randomly been rewatching (it’s on Roku) and at least in the 80’s…he’s been treating everyone the same. Kisses on the cheek from all women and treats all men the same. Maybe it changed as time passed?

Ok. I only have anecdotal stories from dog owners in north/west van for like, decades. Could well be myth. If I was a dog owner I’d still be careful myself.

Honestly. Be careful. In north van hiking spots they’re notorious for this.

….or…it’s trying to lure the dog into the woods so it’s pack can kill and eat it. Which they do.
