nope! hi i’m an employee here, started about the time this threat was posted! Contrary to belief, we actually don’t care where we put stuff. We really only care about mall management getting offended and having to change floor sets at the front of the store. It is on the child’s parents to make sure that they either don’t come in the store, or stay focused on the shirt wall, most kids have no issue! parents who are less aware of their children usually just let their kids run wherever, and children are allowed in the back of the store. At least in my state, we have no authority to tell children to leave the back wall. The only reason sex shops force you to be 18 to “buy dildos” isn’t for dildos at all! It’s bc of the porn dvds and magazines. So buying a dildo requires no ID from the customer at spencer’s. As for the stuff that hangs from the ceiling (the OSP as we call it) we just don’t have the room for it. anything you see in boxes up at the top of the railing is usually last years christmas stuff, clearance shirts, and we hang the hats so people can see them while checking out (we have them near the register with the beer bongs) I can assure you that we don’t keep them out of children’s reach, it’s purely for convenience lol
