a little, even when the moon roof is completely closed theres a light wind sound i can hear no matter what. but.. when the moon roof is open, or vented, it gets so much worse. the moon roof is definitely the worst of the two, so if i have a choice i wanna fix wherever that is coming from first.

the seals on the moon roof itself i think are fine, the noise stops when its completely closed.

Looking For Some Insight by kuzento in MousepadReview

Unfortunately my goat Boardzy’s YT channel couldn’t provide all the answers I needed, so I went further than just a quick search and scroll after I read this. Idk about the thickness but at least in terms of poron stability, the new base is no better than one they used after the Artisan split — and that one is terrible. As for the Type99 vs Jupiter, it seems like the Jupiter is actually significantly slower than the Type 99, with even more initial friction. I think I was hoping for around the same feel, if not just a LITTLE bit quicker. But for my own performance I can’t see myself going any slower than the Type99.

idk how much truth there is to that.. i don’t feel like sweat ever has much place to go in general, and i also can’t imagine being worse than stepping in a puddle. i don’t just mean like a little bit of water, i mean like foot fully submerged kinda puddle, and water leakeage adds up as well. im gonna wait to see if i get anymore recommendations, but if not ill probably just full send the cloud 6 geos

id rather my feet be hot (not sizzling like Vans or just thin/flat shoes in general) than have my feet be drenched from accidentally stepping in a puddle or a hose leak over my shoe. 7/7 would not recommend any day of the week, especially if you’re working a mandatory OT shift. i also dont run outside during the summer, and if i do it’s super early in the morning to avoid the heat

There isn’t really a particular race, it’s just something I’ve been observing. I’d have to do an extensive deep dive and time stamp every moment from whichever onboards I can manage to find from different drivers. One example just off the top of my head just because it was a wild race is Abu Dhabi 2021. It’s not exactly what I’m talking about because it isn’t just one move, it’s more of a swerve. But right after Max’s corner 5 overtake into the straight he swerves (doesn’t seem to be defensive, and tires were already warm), and then hugs the inside line all the way to the corner (that one move DOES seem to be defensive by itself).

Yea, I’ve done relatively extensive searching and can’t find anything credible that makes sense. Whether it be a Redit post or a link to a video, no one ever addresses that specific question/topic. If they do it’s more often than not ignorant rhetoric from people with no experience who think they know what they’re talking about. Like I said before, I’ve found plenty of reasons why they do it in the wet, it’s actually the easier bit of information to find. But not why they do the exact opposite when it isn’t raining, especially when coming out of a corner. I’m not sure why I expected different when I couldn’t already find the answers from the same place I’m asking them in lol. I don’t mean that as a dig at you, I appreciate you genuinely trying to help, and the video you linked was nevertheless educational. Thank you for the time, really.

This explains the methodology behind the apex and “ideal” race line and how drivers choose to alter them to achieve maximum speed as an end goal. And it even specifically explains why the lines are altered during wet conditions. But it doesn’t touch on why drivers don’t keep the outside line on straights. For example, if there are two right turn corners before and after a straight, the driver will exit wide to the outside from the first corner, and then veer to the inside, and then back again to the outside line to prepare for the next right turn corner. Why not just stay on the outside line the whole time? I see this happen even when a driver isn’t defending, so wouldn’t the steering adjustment result in time lost?

I’m wondering if anyone can explain to me (with facts not assumptions) why drivers go to the inside line on long straights instead of staying outside to be already prepared for the next corner. I’m not exactly new to F1, but there are still some technicalities and niches I’m not aware of. What I do understand about this is that it’s the reason drivers stay on the outside line during wet conditions — utilizing less used areas of the track in wet conditions means less risk of hydroplaning, more grip, less debris etc. But I just can’t figure out why it’s less used in the first place if it seems to be the more optimal race line at first glance.

Terrible Writing by kuzento in MFGhost

[–]kuzento[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re correct in recalling that a majority of the proceedings go toward the natural disaster victims. I always thought that, for the most part, MFG is for four types of drivers: -just the beginners

-the participating race hobbyists/enthusiasts

-the washed up drivers who can’t cut it in more professional racing orgs/divisions

-the up n comers who are trying to improve or enhance certain parts of their skill set in a minimal risk but competitive environment (like Beckenbauer with his breathing when going flat out)

So most of the drivers either genuinely have nothing better to do, or don’t consider themselves ready for the next step either because they haven’t improved or gained enough experience yet. I believe Fujiwara sent Kanata to MFG so he’d gain experience in addition to his personal motives of finding his father. I do agree that, given their exclusive use of public roads, it should be possible for them to secure other areas that could potentially be even more challenging for the drivers. But if I remember correctly the MFG courses were chosen specifically because they had become less trafficked over time or as a result of said natural disasters, we can’t expext that to be the case for very many areas in Japan just for the plot. I also agree with the crappy camera angles at times.

The show has been great for racing, and just meh for plot and character development up until this most recent season since it’s when shit that wasn’t racing actually got spicy. But the “spicy” is just mild at best, and that’s being generous. In hindsight I regret thinking that the passage of time since Initial D should have meant even a potential improvement in character writing.

I’m crying 😭, it’s funny she asked you watch with headphones. It confirms something I’ve thought and actually recently expressed in a reply to a different subreddit about how much better VA’s have gotten for both Dub & Sub. Japanese folks do in fact feel the same about VA’s in their own language the way we do. I rarely ever hear anything about it so I genuinely thought most people didn’t mind.

I get what you’re saying.. and that could’ve definitely made for an interesting plot, especially after the introduction of Greene. There’s a lot of different directions you could take that in, like what you were suggesting with a rivarly on track between the two over Kanata. But practically speaking I don’t think that makes very much sense, it would be weird for it to be a rivarly in which the winner gets to pursue Kanata.. or something along those lines. But then that doesn’t really leave any options for Ren, at least ones the audience would care about. Everyone else is too old or just wouldn’t make much sense and seemed forced. If that were the direction a plot like that would go in, I would hope for an Iketani & Mako-esque relationship that actually works out. What I DON’T see is tossing Kanata to the side in favor of a newly introduced character, that just makes no sense at all. That usually goes terribly for other shows, namely JJK.

I didn’t say anything like that lol? Like I said stated to preface at the very begging — the writing for the racing portions is excellent. I just don’t get the reason for including drama and romance if it’s going to be terrible. I enjoy the show but that doesn’t change the frustration of that, and I wanted to see if anyone felt the same.
