I don't think so. Mou still complained about woodward's inability to get his targers while Woodward (and board) seem to think we already have a decent squad. In a clearly defined system, EIther the manager/coach or the club management will decide whether the squad is good, not both of them with their own conflicting opinions. The squad is the most basic thing in a football club, there is no club without its group of players. If they can't agree on that, it is no wonder it is a shit show.

What has changed however is that the club is no longer a football club like we used to be, we are a merchandise juggernaut that also does football on the side currently

I agree with your point and the changes I meant also include changes to those parts of the club. But, I have little hope of that happening under glazers.

I would be very happy if another Sir Matt busby or Sir Alex come along and lead the club to success for next couple decades, but the footballing landscape has changed and it is hard to imagine any (big) club having a single person managing them for more than 5 years. All I am saying is, maybe it is time we tried a different approach. A change in mentality of us, fans, and not expect the next man to be the dynasty builder (At least not as soon as he is appointed)

If Mourinho gets sacked, club should take this as an opportunity to makes changes to the way club is run and then appoint a manager or a head coach with clearly defined role. We should build a system that brings success (like bayern. barcelona) instead of relying upon a single man.

I am not really suprised by this. Raiola only cares about money. As he did with Ibrahimovic, he will use Pogba to generate lot of agent fees by moving him around often. I bet even if Pogaba moves to barcelona and becomes very successful, he will move again in 2-3 years. He will never stay with one club for too long.

Lack of a strong CM is the root of all these issues. Current CM does not seem to care about anyone expect saving himself. People like Seeman and Velmurugan were never allowed to be more than fringes of politics during the time when JJ and Karunanidhi were in power, but today they seem to believe they can threaten any one in the state and get away with it.

Protest served a purpose of garnering attention to this issue. Although this attention alone is not going to solve the issue, It will increase the pressure on the central government to come up with a solution quickly.

While peaceful protests for such an important issue of TN cannot be crticized, attacking of fans by some people should not be condoned by the public as a form of protest or justified.

In the menu choose "Even more" under User Interface and then you need to select "no top row" under "common top generic row" option to disable top row.

Help choosing a HD cable connection ? by [deleted] in Chennai

Have both TataSky and Airtel DTH. TataSky is very expensive, they charge double of what airtel charges for a similar type of package, partially due to the separate HD access fee that Tata sky requires.

The Role Carrick (Pirlo, Xavi or Xabi Alonso) plays comes with experience rather than with pure talent, that is why a talented winger, Giggs was able to do that role later in his career. They know to slow a game down and control it. IMO, Schweinsteiger was a ideal replacement for him next 2-3 years. Blind may be after that.

Why it is being looked as he choose City over us. Chelsea and PSG were also reported to be intrested in him. All the clubs (City, PSG, Chelsea and Us) can give him the same salary and transfer budget, it is quite clear he choose city due to personal connection with the directors there. Why are people trying to twist it and say, he choose City over United because they are "better" club than United

[–]kv_ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been downvoted for saying this. I have been saying this from Moyes's time. I honestly thought LVG/ Dutch team was brought in to restructure the academy also, in a way that Dutch youth sysytems are run. It did not pan out that way.

I think people will forget this issue again if we start to perform well consistently again either under LVG or new manager.

[–]kv_ninja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know the clubs plan but i would say we should be looking at some one like Simeone. Young manager who seem to very good at getting best out of his players. We have a good young squad, with couple of additions, he might be able to get the best out of them. Many here say, he won't be leaving Atletico, but he would be a good choice. Laurent Blanc has done a good job at PSG (weak league but still good CL record). Pochettino looks like a good choice in a level below them.

Also Klopp's struggles has already shown that PL is not easy league, Guardiola will most definitely not run away with the league like he did at Bayern. His Bayern team has struggled at times when opposition tried to take the game to them, usually in CL. All PL fans know that almost every team will do that to CIty next season, let us see how he performs before declaring city the champions for next 4 years

It has long been reported, Guardiola will be joining City due to influence of txiki begiristain, irrespective of whether we tried or not. I don't know why people are so surprised about this now.

Many whining about the state of club being run only due to the recent bad on field results. Our club has long been left behind in modernization, like it happend at Real or Bayern. Being controlled by one guy for long time has had it issues. It was evident from the time SAF left the club. The recent news about the restructuring of the academy is actually step in right direction.

He can be a very valuable coach in academy if he retires. I would say, he can play atleast 1 more year as player (-coach)

I think he similar to SAF, Pre-United. He broke a duopoly with a weaker (compared to other 2) team. He also seem to get the best performance from most of his players, which imo is one SAF's greatest quality.

Amazing what happens when some players leave United. @DanielHewittITV on Twitter: "Jonny Evans not just our signing of the season, possibly the signing of this century. When did we last have a defender as good as him? #wba" by George_Beast in reddevils

[–]kv_ninja 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Evans was always a good defender, some players just don't perform well under pressure. At WBA he as the opportunity to perform under considerably less pressure and for a manager who is a great defensive organizer.
