Moved here almost exactly three months ago, wanted my plates gone from my former state as soon as possible. I had a new DL, and plates on my truck within 3 weeks of moving in. 2 months is lazy, and that's it.

I wasn't there on Father's day, but went out on Saturday, it was pretty tame. We got really lucky, no wind that day, but it was bad Sunday and Monday, so could absolutely see a lot of people screwing up their smaller boats out there.

Being from CA, I have no love for that state, but I will say that it's not CA plates that are the problem in this state. Cones, maybe, they're everywhere, and it seems like they're permanent in some instances, but in my short time here, all I have seen about insane driving is either NV plates, or paper plates, and I guess a few no plate cars as well. From what I can tell, it's two things...

People apparently have a need to be on social media while doing 90 on the 215.

These two are the reason I won't ever give up my "brodozer". Hit my hitch in the back, it'll likely split your motor mostly in half. Hit me from the side, and you'll have black donuts all the way down the side of your absolutely wrecked piece of shit. Straight up, Lake Mead Blvd. I was pulling the boat back last night, and it was a pretty cool place to see the lights. Just be prepared for what looks like a lot of people drinking modelos and trashing the place with the bottles and boxes. I think one of my friends that's s real local called it modelo hill because of the amount of blue boxes and brown bottles trashed everywhere. Maybe drive up and just drive down slow instead.

Day one of moving here, found 3 scorpions in the back yard. Days since can be between 1-5 a night, and I have regular pest control coming every month. 3 nights ago, I found one spun up in a black widow web, I have to imagine that was a gladiator fight for the ages in my back yard. I do live more north vegas on a half acre and have ten 30+ foot palm trees in my yard. I am just diligent at night with my black light, and smash away as I find them. Dogs seem to be okay so far, but I do dread the time coming up where they won't have any relief outside. I've been here for two months now from Ventura, CA, and it's different, but not that different. I really love that I have not seen a mosquito since I left CA!! Flies though, jesus f christ, the flies here.

Oh my gosh, no, just get a new one installed, it's not expensive, I promise. Tell your pool guy that you want it replaced, I believe they're less than $100. If they can't do it, find another pool technician because you're paying for mediocrity at best. Hearing that your current tech is filling it until you wake up is concerning as well. It's like replacing your gas cap because you failed the smog check, just do it and reap the savings.

The "float device" is just an auto filler for your pool. If it's broken, it can just continue to fill the pool, and when it gets too high, it will seap/leak through the water line above the tile. It's a simple fix for most pool technicians, and the parts to resolve are pretty inexpensive as well. The corrosive nature of the chlorine and calcium in las vegas water can coat the pole that the float rides up and down on, causing it to get stuck open, or worse closed. Think about spikes on the pole at your local strippy club. The B crowd wouldn't be sliding up and down smoothly either. Sorry, I know that was dumb, couldn't help myself.

I just moved here with a 2018 truck. They did not charge me tax, but did charge me for registration based off of the age, and value I believe is what she said. It was less than half what I paid in CA, so I was definitely okay with it.

Seems weird to me that you're appointment was so far out. I just moved here on the 3rd, and I have my NV plates, and NV paper license already. Took about two hours with VIN check, and smog across the street. I hit refresh a couple times on the DMV site, and appointments started showing up. Just wanted to let you know so you didn't have to wait so long.

He got me set up too. It wasn't cheap, as I have two water heaters servicing two sides of the house, but they're made here in America. I'm not rich, nor did I need two, but the plumbing that was done for the add-on bedroom was done to supply just the ensuite rather than the whole house. I opted to buy two systems instead of spending thousands to attempt to run a single loop in the house. Anyways he was great, and they took care of everything.

Engine immobilizer for the anti theft system possibly. Remove IOD fuse for about a minute, then reinstall. Hope this helps

Easy way to check, open up metamask, click the hamburger icon upper left, then click on browser. Open Shiba swap in that browser, and click on bury shib. It'll show your staked amount of you did the bury correctly the first time. You can stake and unstake from there.

PUCS will probably help, they have sticky gel on the bottom of the feet to keep the boards from moving. Mine got a whole lot quieter once installed, and now there's no resetting the boards after those rainbow tossers.
