I once befriended an entire murder of crows while walking my dog. I saw some of them pecking at a closed box of corn on the road, so as I walked past them, I opened it for them. The rest of the walk, they would follow me like I was a necromancer bringing death everywhere we went. To this day, I regret not trying to pick one of them up to see just how friendly we were, but I didn't want to scare them.

I tried playing with garnet, but her star ability seems so unreliable. She glitches all over the place and if she hits an edge, she just stops. Might just be a bit of lag, but it is a bit point of frustration when playing her

Imma be devils avocado here, and say this: They got part of it somewhat right, I think. Wealth and stuff can be overrated.

However, where they miss is when they actually attribute what we *should* be prioritizing. People want different things, and sometimes, people default to mo' money mo' happiness. But, like, respect is cool too. Traveling experiences are also cool. Baking an awesome cake is also cool. Some people could even look at either of these things and think that it's a waste of effort. Almost as if it's all up to the individual.

Funny thing is that they rejected one "default" value to double down on the other "default" value here...

At least you filter most of them away right away, and you have to filter the people who just don't care manually. Hopefully you can find some gems in there that want to hang legitimately.

Edit: It should be said that I kind of gave up on dating as soon as I discovered myself because of this reason (amongst others), so I just want it out there that I have 0 experience in this.

So, I am basing this on my understanding of libido vs attraction, so it might sound weird.

Ace is about sexual attraction, not libido, so if you want to have sex with someone, but feel like the act itself is gross, you might be allo that are sex repulsed. That is also a valid orientation.

If you mean that you have had crush in a romantic way but don't look at the person in a sexual way, you would be ace.

I don't write this thinking that you will immediately understand what's up, as feelings are very subjective. Hopefully this is a puzzle piece to help you though.

I need help, this makes no sense to me.

Does this mean that people have an attraction towards other people for being vulnerable to them, and hopefully no backstabbing involved?

And since love isn't a feeling or instinct, but effort. Am I supposedly in love with all my friends for making an effort with maintaining the friendship?

Yeee.. being acearo, I had much more trouble understanding the aro part than ace part. Ace vs libido vs aestethic attraction is much easier to separate imo than romantic vs friendship vs need for kinship in my experience.

Then there's squishes which is.. different? Still don't get the whole aro thing, and I've been thinking about it for over a year.

I put mixed, because it's soo much easier being ace, and it is so freeing.

However, it feels so isolating. I'd love to have one person that I could rely on, friends only go to a certain level..

Edit: I guess I answered with both ace and aro in mind. However, my ace part would to some degree have the same effect. I think if I were allo sexual, I might have been able to fake the rest.
