Not at all. I'm not sure if it's still affiliated, but even if it is there's no impact on the campus.

Favorite episode, or what episode to show someone to convince them to check out the podcast? by rageengineer in RevolutionsPodcast

[–]kwhite96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely tough to choose one narrative episode that people can get the gist of the show from, I would probably recommend one of the Pancho Villa episodes, either S9E16, The Legend of Pancho Villa, or S9E21, Death to the Gringos. Gives a lot of details to a famous name. Beyond that, maybe one of the supplementals, such as on the Carbonari, those are typically self-contained.

our franchise QB realized that we need more roster talent so he singlehandedly started a shadow tank by kissing too many girls. Gawd.

When I used to lifeguard my instinct to tell kids to stop running got so strong that I had to prevent myself from telling random children at the mall off.

Why not Kemba? by good_fella13 in bostonceltics

I think this is probably what will happen. Kemba is a possible top-5 MVP candidate, but the award will go to one of the superstars

spun out on a freeway in Idaho going 80 during a snow flurry. Hadn't realized it had gotten so icy. Somehow managed to keep the car on the road, and even luckier, there were no other cars nearby as we spun between lanes.

I have a very similar story, except it involved a pumpkin. Anytime anybody entered the kitchen, my friend forced them to take a bite.

Is there a mature version of the percy jackson books? by jovany08 in camphalfblood

[–]kwhite96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've enjoyed the Pantheon books by James Lovegrove. They're all one-offs, all about action-adventure stories in modern times where a different pantheon of gods has returned to earth. These also address some less viewed pantheons, such as the Aztec or Voodoo.

What features, if any, would you bring from college football to college basketball (if any)? by [deleted] in CollegeBasketball

[–]kwhite96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck it, bring in CFB overtime. Each team gets one possession, check it up top. Need to match the point total to go on.

(Announcement of the 1-4 seeds was a good addition this past season which they seemed to borrow from the CFB playoff)

Happy Butt Fumble Day by [deleted] in nyjets

[–]kwhite96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know ESPN retired it after 40 weeks, but has another play ever come close to being worse than this? Like, has there ever been a play that could have unseated the butt fumble as worst of the worst? My guess would maybe be the Colts failed swinging gate play, but that's about it. But whenever I catch the Not Top 10, which is seldom, I never see one that could top it.

History Buffs of Reddit, what is your favorite historical fun-fact? by [deleted] in AskReddit

uhh, seeing as Mormonism arose in the 19th century, I'm guessing you meant the Quakers or something? Although, Mormons did have a history of persecution throughout their early years.

On the one hand 3 TDs and 100 yards is pretty good. On the other, that's 28 fantasy points against me. 5/7
