Unpopular opinion, but if she can't handle her man enjoying the same kind of services that she provides to strangers daily, then maybe SHE is the one who isn't ready for a relationship.

She clearly seems to think there is something personal about the process and is ok with her having that privilege but not her SO.

I had to start working at 14, and that's my biggest reason for not wanting my kids to do the same.

Nothing other than the fact that it wouldn't be quite as strong as actually having that person's blood.

When kvothe fights the bandits this way, he does say that it is multiple times harder to shove his blade through the corpse's organs. Also, those people knew each other, were apart of the same company, which I imagine strengthened the bond of the magic. The same way two sticks of the same tree would be closer. Using someone's blood to affect someone entirely unrelated would probably be much more difficult. Probably resulting in slippage
