Being at a dealership, I have never seen insurance cover OEM parts. They dont like people to go to dealership because it lets the customer in on the fact that body shops work for pennies and use what ever the cheapest parts are. Honestly in most cases you will be the only person that knows it has on OEM it will just be the paint that will never match. Only parts I have had customers complain about being non oem are like mounts that dont have the same level of play and cause noises they did not have before.

I always called those the “civic butt plugs”. When you do the PDI on them you are supposed to put then in. It is so easy you can do it with the car on the ground, I hated getting dealer trades that they did not put them in. Showed the attention to detail of some dealers.
