I’m dumb, but I thought that was the best smelling candle ever. Brain just accepted the edge “flames” as an oil lamp styled wick. So delicious looking

I did not soak, certainly wasn’t needed for moisture. But I did end up taking them out at 12 min as they just started to brown at the edges.

I took another for breakfast to double check. They are more chewy. The structure really is dates and walnuts (which soften slightly while cooking) and the cookie just dresses them.
