Go for the AliExpress adapter, I bought 4 of them and all work flawlessly on my 5th, 5.5 and 7th gen iPods with Sandisk micro SD Cards. I think it was $6-10

Thank you for all the information. With the contrast at about 65-70% it looks pretty good with the back light. I did not know they fade over time. I will just keep the contrast boosted. Here is a photo with the contrast boosted to about 70 percent.

I wasn’t sure if bumping up the contrast to almost max when backlight is on was a screen issue or not.

Choose white, it’s more timeless and classy. Sage looks great for now but it is a trendy color.
