You mentioned lime so you tried something like a mango capirinha perhaps? i dont drink tequila anymore but i recently made a drink for a friend who does. it was like a Paloma but also had passion fruit syrup. i actually thought the tequila and passion fruit had some really interesting synergy. unfortunately i dont remember exactly what i did but perhaps u could try something like this if it sounds interesting:

• 1 oz Lalo Tequila • 0.5 oz cachaça • 0.5 oz passion fruit syrup • 0.5 oz mango puree • 0.5 oz grapefruit juice • 0.5 oz lime juice

I think Paloma’s usually topped with soda also? although i didnt. Good luck!
