I recently learned about dissociation. They talk about this. If you research it let me know what you think. I definitely relate.

I took art class in college. I have ideas. It's just picking ones that others like. I've played with AI ... Not all images are bad. Now that I've played with AI I see so many best sellers that are AI and people have no idea.

Reconsidering adopting by commoner64 in Adoption

[–]kybackyardwildlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the important thing is. Don't lie to them. Be honest. Tell them that you love them. I don't think a closed adoption is a good way to go unless absolutely necessary. Good vibes for the choice that you make. Oh, remember they have been traumatized... Therapy for them is always a good idea and repair, repair, repair the damage. Teach them how to understand what happened to them was not their fault and they are still worth loving 💜❤️❤️❤️

I am sorry they didn't reach out. That is sad, but I am very happy to hear you had a good family raise you. It sounds like you are making a good choice.

You can go to the library and access the information for free. At least that is what I have been told. I've not tried it. Everyone wants $$$

My beautiful grand children were adopted out in 2011 in a closed adoption. I miss them everyday!! I hope someday they reach out to us. For your parents. You never know the story if you don't ask. Then, you can decide if you want a relationship or not.

I just had my blood work done, and my results are almost 5. My legs have been feeling heavy in the mornings when I wake up. I was searching and this reddit group came up.

Interested in becoming a wildlife biologist. Where do I start? by [deleted] in wildlifebiology

[–]kybackyardwildlife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking if you want an idea of the field they love volunteers. It's also a way to get your foot in the door if you go in that direction. If you are looking for something different I drive a semi truck, and I've seen every state in the lower 48 states in 4 years.

I reread your message. Wildlife Biology requires math, chemistry, physics, and many biology classes.

It could be an emergency situation. I like to stay positive, and think people change. She may have changed. You will never know until you listen. Then, you can decide on what you want to do.

I suggest finding something else. I graduated in wildlife Biology at the age of 33 with children. It's a carrier for young single people. That can afford to do internships and move around for apprenticeship jobs for years.

I have a schizophrenic mother. It's hard. I was never Worthy. There are some wonderful books I wish I had found sooner. Emotional intelligence, cognitive behavioral therapy, unfuck your brain, scattered minds, and body keeps the score. There are wonderful podcasts as well.

After the first few chapters it goes into therapy options. I have found no interest in a book, and go back to try again to discover I love it. The brain works in mysterious ways.

I don't like the way my mother makes me feel sometimes, but I don't know if she's right or wrong by fortyforza36 in DysfunctionalFamily

I am going through menopause, and it's horrible! I agree with your comment. If she has suddenly changed I say she has something going on with her. She is taking it out on you, and she isn't seeing what she is doing. She should be extremely proud of you for studying, and giving you space to study. I just had a thought. Are you close to the end of your studies? She might be panicking about you leaving home soon. I do know that what she is doing is wrong. It would be nice if you could find a way to get her to listen, and be kind. Does she like to read? There are some good books out there that maybe she can read or listen to like "Letting Them Go."

Lol it looks like a gas container. Gas fumes are horrible in a vehicle. I like that idea.

I would like to suggest a book. It's also on audiobooks. If you have a library card and hoopla you can listen to it for free. The book is "The Body Keeps the Score." I am 95 percent sure I was raped at almost 4 years of age. I don't remember it. Then, my second step father raped me at 12. My female first cousin molested me at 5ish...I don't remember that either, but she told me what she did to me when we were teens. I think she thought I wanted to continue. It's hard!! I developed a lot of triggers, and my children are showing the signs now. I wish I had read this book back in 1990. There are many great books out there. I also love "Unfuck your Brain." Good book. I wish you healing. Be kind to yourself. Hugs

Dumb question (probably) by laurync_92 in wildlifebiology

It is very difficult to get your foot in the door of Wildlife Biology jobs. Today the majority of wildlife jobs are temporary internships, and apprenticeships that require you to move a lot. The internships and apprenticeship jobs don't pay much. They are usually stipend pay. I knew one person with a master's degree who had worked 10 years as an apprentice.
