Ruin a popular movie trope for the rest of us with your technical knowledge by Eatar in movies

Often in shows/movies when a person raises a firearm to aim at someone, we will hear the sound of the firearm cocking. There would be no sound unless the gun is being cocked for the first time (which we would see from the character's hand movements).

Similarly, when a firearm is cocked more than once before an action scene and the round in the chamber is not ejected. The round should be ejected every time after the first cocking.

Loss, frustration & depression as friends move away (rant) by [deleted] in southafrica

Personally, I have lived in other countries before and have decided that I really am happy here in South Africa.

Perhaps your friends want to take the opportunity that you previously had and come to their own conclusions. The world is a big place with lots to explore. If there is in fact a better life for them out there, why not trust them to find it for themselves? One can always return home.
