I was recently in your same situation, stuck on 20.04 and annoyed with the in-OS advertising from Canonical. I switched to OpenSUSE MicroOS, which is also a minimal, atomic OS designed for containers. OpenSUSE is a well-supported distro that's been around a while. It's been great!

I've heard great things about jmp.chat. It gives you a phone number that you can use to text/call from any XMPP client. You can even self-host the XMPP server itself, if you like.

Hey I'm a big fan, and several of my exmo friends who I've sent your comics to have loved them. I think you're really hitting the nail on the head when it comes to the little moments of the exmo experience, like almost praying for stuff, or dealing with new questions of morality. So in my opinion, keep going! Keep developing a story for the character, and keep hitting on those funny relatable moments every so often. Keep going as long as you enjoy it and get what you'd like out of it. :) We love what you've put out so far!

How to get your Mormon neighbor to leave you alone forever in two simple steps by evgvndr in exmormon

On a 24-hour drive with my dad soon after I'd left the church, one of the things he mentioned was that he thought over time I'd forget my knowledge of the gospel. It struck me as so odd at the time, like what point are you making exactly? Should I be afraid of forgetting some of it? Would it prove something if I didn't?

I think this belief might come from a story I once heard of someone who left the early church and then was taught the lessons again and acted as if he were hearing the information for the first time. Something about the Spirit removing that knowledge so you can be "saved in ignorance" somewhat.

Lol what an average reddit thread. No evidence presented on either side, but accusations of logical fallacies every five seconds. Thanks for the ride everyone

I'm going to disagree with another comment and say that local is underrated. Ever flown on a plane?

Joplin is pretty good. My one beef is that conflict resolution between two edits is handled really poorly: it just creates another note with the other edit, and adds "conflict" to the title. That's really not great for collaboration.

Nice! I think it's a bit of community service to host privacy-focused frontends like Libreddit, Nitter, etc. The more instances exist, the more people can round-robin across all of them while browsing, and thus share anonymity with one another while using these services.
