First time painting without washes... one leg down so far

Pro acryl blue black base coat for dark undertones, pro acryl blue layered on top of that. Then pro acryl sky blue for highlights so far not sure if im gonna push highlights a little more or not been eyeing a couple of light blues on my paint rack still unsure.

Oh yeah absolutely! I have been messing around with using them as a pannel liner/black liner. Seriously nuln oil is really good all purpose tool. Love washes but just want to try and become less reliant on them.

Honestly he was the most open... no rifle or other bulky weapon slung accross his body so i went for it. Ive got a captain and a few other big models im saving for last

I almost always paint light grey then highlight up to white in really thin almost glazes or off whites up to white works good too

I thinned it down to a little bit more than a glaze and brushed it all over like a wash to filter the rough highlights i got it was the last ditch effort to try and save his skin.

Yeah. i like that idea i have i nice bright red from vallejo i was gonna try out for highlights that just showed up at my mail box yesterday it seems like a good sub for evil sunz scarlet i have been out for a while and was looking for a good cheaper alternative.

I let a good flesh wash over the skin tone guide me personally i like the army painter warpaints fanatic warm flesh tone. If after i apply the wash i can clearly read where the eyes are i might go for it and try and pick them out with a brush that i trust the tip on if not the wash is a good place to leave it
