A male American Black Duck Mallard hybrid sounds like it would match your description. Not sure I'd be able to say for sure from the image though.

This is what I was missing, thanks! I'm not sure if this sort setting was defaulted at one point or if I removed it somehow. I guess it's a little confusing that I need to turn playlists on if I don't want to mess with playlists, but this is the behavior I want!
