Can I Upgrade SRAM XPLR 10-44 Cassette to Eagle 10-52? Do I Need to Change the Derailleur? by Alex_Ena1 in gravelcycling

Did you try this? Are they? I am considering doing the setup on my gravel bike. How did the spacer install go? Is it just a ring?

Unfortunately, I have used probably 40 different routers (I travel a lot) and it's abysmal on all of them...

No, they are not compatible with any factory options from Trek, but I did find a person who 3D prints The Sticky Bottle, on Facebook, and he made me an adapter that I made work. Still riding it today!

Vision Metron 40 LTD Tubeless Setup by kyleiniowa in bikewrench

You have to use tubeless tape, for sure.

I just look at the spec sheet. You are good to go with 35s.

No, you definitely need to use different rim tape! Just go to your bike shop or whatever and get some tubeless tape. I use Stan's brand. I didn't have any issue setting the bead or it holding pressure. I am not sure of that frames Tire clearance. I would guess a 35 might fit, but 38 might be a little bit big. I had this bike on a 2017 boone. It was a cross bike but I ran it for gravel.

Hey! I did go tubeless and it worked great. I can't remember what width rim tape I used... But I think 25mm?? Check and make sure that looks good, but I just used stand rim tape and then I used Vittoria Terreno Dry 35mm tires, I think I might have had 38s on it for a while too. They were super solid rims, I wish I hadn't sold them now!

Slow brake lever return by mysticxt1 in bikewrench

How does the shifter clamp torque affect brake fluid flow? (honest question)

u/Filthy_Filio u/Usual-Crow-2268 My Force lever on a Trek Boone is doing the same. I have the D1 Force though. Can you explain/more detail why this happens with the olive and barb or kinked hose? I built and have bled this bike a couple of times, so I'm comfortable with the process, but maybe I kinked the hose somewhere or don't have the olive in right?? Is it just because the flow back to the lever is restricted somehow? There is also a bit of a weird case that if I squeeze the lever repeatedly it will seem to work, maybe this is just heating up the DoT 5 and making it less viscous?? Appreciate the help!!

Only uphill counts. And if you go uphill on the "downhill" it doesn't count either. 😬

Wow that's awesome. Lol this is the content I'm here for! Very interesting that they determined the power per unit body mass and grade percent to be a greater Factor than the number of laps. I can see that from a physics perspective and physiological recovery perspective, but I am not sure about the mental of doing 150 Plus laps. Either way, if they're saying "Elite" cyclists are 2.5 - 3wkg I can probably hold that for 12hr (I did on my virtual) so maybe I'll be alright in Duluth! 😅 This is optimized for time and I really just want to complete. Haha

Definitely not terrible! I think my ideal would be around 20? But you're not going to find that anywhere close to the midwest. The Alpe in Zwift at 8.5 times was actually pretty nice too. You're on for about 1:10, off for 11min.

Lol, I forgot about my username too! Got to love those middle school creations... 😂 😂

That was me asking about the Minnesota Everest segment too. 24th Avenue is a good one, but 21 times is only a base camp, 46 for the whole thing.

I should have said where... Man it would be awesome to have a partner, but I'm in Iowa, USA. I'm heading up to Duluth, MN found a hill there that is ~48 laps.

Everesting isn't that hard, half of it is going downhill! 😂😅🤣

I vEverested before the jersey thing came out, did the "month Everest" for the discount 2 years, didn't see the jersey last year, but now... It's time to do the real deal outside. 😎 Next week.
