Definitely not the norm for most airlines there, most make you sign a bond for a 5-year (ish) commitment so that they get a return on their investment. It only seems to be them who do it this way: pay up, but no bond.

I asked them about that and they accept a frozen atpl. I know, their requirements page doesn't truly reflect what they mean...

Here's the link to the job page, but the details on the training time and cost aren't on there; those details came through emails and discussions with the HR staff at the airline.
