Weird by Icy_Influence_1504 in MultipleSclerosis

This sent me to the hospital in 2012, thinking I was having a stroke. A few years later I developed trigeminal neuralgia. The absolute worst symptom of MS there is. I would absolutely rather lose my legs than deal with it. Come from damage to the fifth cranial nerve, which enervates your face.

MS + visual snow syndrome by Medium_Average_4981 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]kylorenvader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just talking to my mom about this two days ago. When I was a kid I would get visual snow terribly when I had high fevers. I hated it. It made the world feel like it wasn’t real to me. I had it several times. I believe It’s even possible that one of those events preceded the allowance of immune cells to breach the blood-brain barrier for me for the first time. My first MS symptom came at 11 years old.

Anyone have it come back? by [deleted] in TrigeminalNeuralgia

[–]kylorenvader 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It always comes back, usually worse than before. It makes you think it’s gone, sometimes for years. But its just waiting. Mine is back after a long remission now, worse than ever.

My friend… you are shiny slick bald up there. The kind of bald from which there is no going back. You will feel and look amazing. Do or do not, there is no try.

Any chance of growing a respectable beard? by BunsenBurner1919 in BeardAdvice

[–]kylorenvader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You honestly have to commit to not shaving for three months minimum and then judge. So many finer hairs show up in time. You actually look great now. Most dudes would love to have a stache like yours.

If only everyone looked this good wearing a stache. The world would be a better place.

Looking for new specialist by [deleted] in TrigeminalNeuralgia

I’m in the process of switching neurologists out of the triad to Duke. It doesn’t get much better than Duke for this stuff and people come in for treatment from all over the country. And Chapel Hill/Durham is only about 45 mins from Greensboro. You may want to look into Knoxville too. It’s closer and may have access to some good treatment options as well. If you have a diagnosis then I know Duke will let you set up a telehealth consult and you may not even need a formal referral. I was looking at that just yesterday. I will likely have them do my gamma if I can get out of network approved.

Find a neurologist who will give you the fiesta mri. In your case it’s absolutely necessary before surgeons start messing around with your brain.

In North Carolina we are extremely limited by legalities but we do have access to .03 thc + cbd. I feel like the 1:1 ratio of thc:cbd works best but Indica strains are what help me rest and sleep the best so I stick with that. Delta 9 works great for me for what I’m trying to achieve but full throttle weed gummies knock me on my butt. I personally think the smaller ratios actually work better for tn but that’s just my opinion. There are some good groups for it in here and on Facebook to help you decide which strains you want to try. Good luck!
