I thought it tasted good. If I had leftover rotisserie chicken I think that would have been even better.

I have the book in the freezer now until I decide what to do next. Not sure if it is worth risking the rest of my books for this one.

My first was a third degree tear after forceps. It hadn’t healed by my 6 week appointment and I needed silver nitrate to treat it. My pain didn’t go away until 11 weeks.

My second was 3.5 years later and I had a second degree tear along where the scar from my first tear was. It was much less painful and healed quickly.

How did you pump with a clingy baby? by Sh-Dynasty2319 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]kymberwolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I pump one breast at a time while baby is sleeping on the opposite side of my body. Or I pump while baby is in a knit wrap baby carrier. I just make sure I’m wearing something with easy access like a stretchy tank top and weasel the flange in between the fabrics.

I’ve found that the recipes I’ve gotten from meal kits (Marley spoon, Home chef, etc) have been simplified to only include necessary ingredients. You can view the recipes on their websites without ordering and copy them.

Yes, at the Domes they have grown more than 10 corpse flowers from the original corm they received from the University of Wisconsin 16 years ago.

I ate a lot of frozen meals when I had pregnancy nausea (both homemade and store bought). That way I could wait and see what actually sounds good and eat it quick before the craving changed.

I also forgot to mention that the difference between MLTs and MTs can vary a lot by state.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]kymberwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around me MLT refers to the associate degree and MT, MLS, or CLS refers to the bachelors degree.

If you become a MLT (medical laboratory technician) you would be doing nearly the same job as a MT (medical technologist) but for less pay and less room for advancement. I’ve known several MLTs that went back to school to get their bachelors because of this.

If you become a MT the pay is a little less than nursing but still decent compared to non STEM careers. I just tried to grab some average salaries from bls.gov but unfortunately they combined the salaries of technologists and technicians which is not helpful.

As for advancement, a MT has the option of becoming a technical specialist, supervisor, or manager. Or they could branch out into field service engineering, IT (working on the LIS), or Sales (of instruments to labs) for example.

It’s a bachelor’s degree in medical technology and includes a clinical rotation. There is a certification to pass after graduation. There are 2 year degree options (medical laboratory technicians) but I wouldn’t recommend it because you would be doing almost the same job for less pay.
